Ritz Paris

Service is 10/10 and the prices are fair enough considering it’s Ritz Café. The coffee is very good. The pastries were a bit underwhelming for me overall. The madeleines are fine too, but nothing special or a must-try. That said, I’m really into little details and I loved the creativity in some of the desserts — especially the strawberry calyx made of biscuit and fully edible, such a clever and creative touch. It’s also a very cute shop overall, really eye-pleasing and nice to sit in.

We tried almost all the selection 😅 (croissant, marble cake, framboise tart, framboise madeline, millefeuille, flan). The millefeuille was too sweet and the madeline not to my liking, but the rest were superb. The prices are.... high. Service and atmosphere are as you expect them to be. We came back to have one more marble cake. Lovely cake. We also tried the mango coco rice con lait. Not very sweet and really light.

Le Comptoir at the Ritz Paris is an experience that takes pastry to a level of absolute perfection. Everything, from presentation to taste, reflects the standards of a legendary hotel. The creations are impeccable — delicate, perfectly balanced and executed with extraordinary precision. Each dessert looks like a work of art, but impresses even more through flavour: intense, refined and harmoniously crafted. You can clearly feel the quality of the ingredients and the mastery behind every piece. The atmosphere is elegant yet accessible, and while the experience is quick, it remains truly memorable. It’s the perfect spot for a refined sweet break in the heart of Paris. A benchmark for luxury pastry. Absolutely not to be missed for dessert lovers.

I was truly impressed by the taste, texture, and generosity of the pain au chocolat, Ritz version. Absolutely worth the hype. The lemon madeleine was also astonishingly tasty and with just enough sweetness. I would definitely come back for the entremet and trying new madeleine flavours.
