Just WOW. This place was amazing, from the food to the staff (shoutout to Larry). This quickly become our new favorite BBQ spot. The cornbread (with elote on top?? Yes!!), the Mac, the Cole slaw — you really can’t go wrong. The ribs were fall of the bone, the brisket melted in your mouth, and I’m still thinking of how impressed we were with every bite. We will be back so soon!
Riot BBQ is one of my favorite barbecue spots in Denver.
What makes it stand out is the combination of Texas barbecue techniques with flavors inspired by Northern Mexico. The result feels unique while still delivering everything you want from great barbecue.
Some of my favorites are the chicken loco, Texas sausage, and the al pastor pork ribs when they’re available. The esquites cornbread, mac and cheese, and potato salad are also worth ordering.
The food is consistently well executed and you can tell a lot of care goes into every item on the menu.
Overall, it’s a place I regularly recommend to anyone looking for great barbecue in Denver.

Since moving back to Denver I haven’t been able to find a good BBQ spot until my girlfriend brought me here.
We ordered brisket, cornbread, mac & cheese, and chicken Loco and it was all amazing.
I then sent a photo to my friends telling them to come here.
If you are in the mood for BBQ come to Riot BBQ!

I love the atmosphere of this place. It screams classic old school bbq joint. Service was good and so was the facility.
When I tell you the burnt ends are good…. I mean it… they were so tender… marbled fantastically…. If I could have ate more, I would have… half a pound was great. Their sauces are also really good. What a fantastic gem tucked back in here. We will be back ❤️
The pictures don’t do it justice… you need to try the brisket and burnt ends. Beans are good as well.

First time here. I wanted some tender, flavorful BBQ. I was pleasantly surprised. What a hidden gem. I had a hard time deciding on what to get because everyone’s plate looked so delicious. So I got the pork ribs pastor, Texas sausage, brisket, and pork belly with a side of pit beans & black cherry cola. Everything was so tender that all I needed was a fork.
My timing was good because there was a minimal line to order however when I left people were lining up; this was on a Sunday at 2:30 pm. So you may have to be a little patient.
Cool little rooms to hang out and eat in or just eat in the main area.
Friendly staff. Check it out! I’ll be back. I wanted to try one of their deserts next time.
