Such a great find & a local, family owned gem! We got the Rockefeller oysters that were delicious on special, along with the beef dip sandwich (so good) & the lobster roll (very generic lobster fill!). We are definitely coming back - our server, Devon, was amazing and so attentive to us. She took the time to explain the menu and the history of the restaurant as well!
Lovely restaurant with a warm, classic ambiance, perfect for a relaxed weekend with family. The atmosphere really gives that fine dining feel. The burger looks great, but honestly, it didn’t taste as good as expected. I’d definitely recommend going for the seafood instead, which was much better.
Pleasant coastal atmosphere, friendly staff, fresh food. My favorites I've tried are the baked oysters and fresh seafood from Liroyal. The sauces go very well with the seafood.
Stopped in late last night with my family for a quick meal and the service we had from Danon was amazing. She was great with my kids which was a huge help to us tired parents after a long day out with the kids.
Service was exceptional with our server, she entertained my little guy and my teen daughter with some great info and showed my son the cool sharks on the wall he hadn’t originally noticed when we first came in.
The food was good, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was great!
Loved all the decor!!!
This was our second visit, after finding this restaurant randomly on a drive in the area. We were so impressed by our first visit so wanted to try it again. We drove out from Toronto to enjoy and this visit did not disappoint.
We made reservations two weeks ago as this place gets very busy. If you do not have reservations, the wait can be almost 2 hours. They do however, have some space at the bar, which is what happened the first time. We needed a table this time around, as our 5 mos old infant is not quite ready for a high chair and we were quickly seated comfortably at a 4 seater table.
Our server greeted us immediately and while the menu was similar, it was a little different than our first visit. We ordered the oysters and fried calamari to start - fresh, delicious and great portions. The menu did not have the ribeye steak my partner was craving so he chose a steak with lobster and was extremely satisfied with it. I had the lobster roll again and enjoyed it immensely. The food was cooked perfectly to our liking - medium rare for the steak and tender and juicy lobster.
My partner and I enjoy seafood a lot and this is one of the best places to do so!! The 45min drive is totally worth it from Toronto. We've tried closer places like Oyster Boy, Rodney's and Lobster Burger Bar downtown but Jake's quality, prices, portions and flavour truly make it one of the best.
It would be a regular visit for us if we lived closer but we will also make the journey when we are really craving delicious food.
