We really loved this meal and seriously considering coming back before the end of our trip - genuinely best meal of the trip so far.
George was our main waiter and was really engaging. Classic friendly Greek hospitality vibes.
We had sardines and prawn Saganaki to start. The Saganaki sauce was seriously good and we left the plate clean with a side of fluffy pita because we didn’t want to waste it. I didn’t think I liked sardines but I also enjoyed this dish. Tasted fresh and well grilled.
For mains we had a Greek salad and giouvetsi which is a veal, orzo and cheese dish. It may sound heavy but it was really hearty, without feeling stodgy.
For dessert we had ice cream, vanilla and chocolate, which they said is homemade on site.
We had this with a Fanta, bottle of water, carafe of red house and a further glass.
The bill came to 92 euros which I thought was good value for money given how much we enjoyed the meal.
The venue is on a terrace with nice views to the west of the island. It’s also well located near the I heart Santorini sign and just off the hillside broadway with the famous sunsetting views so if you time it well, you can enjoy the sunset and eat at Ouzeri.
Ouzeri was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Santorini. This family owned restaurant delivers everything you hope to find when dining in Greece amazing food, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family.
The customer service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about making sure guests had a memorable experience.
The food was outstanding. The lamb was cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. And the homemade baklava served with ice cream was simply incredible. We have eaten a lot of baklava over the years, and this was hands down the best we’ve ever had. It was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
There are plenty of restaurants in Santorini that charge much higher prices, but Ouzeri is the perfect hidden gem. The quality of the food, the family atmosphere, and the outstanding service make it an incredible value and a must-visit while on the island. We would return without hesitation.
Amazing food! Slightly off the main frontage but worth a visit over more costly and commercial places. Try the Tomato Fritters, Gyros and the Baklava with home made ice cream.
My friend and I decided to come here for lunch after passing a few spots in the area. It didn't seem busy and it looked like there was an extensive menu so something to please even fussy eaters. No booking required. There was a board with specials as well to choose from. For my drink I ordered an Earl Grey tea. It was a bit windy as the area is elevated anyway and once in the shade you could feel the breeze. Not so much of a view as there's just the tops of buildings but you can a bit of the ocean. For food: calamari (EUR15.50c), red peppers stuffed with feta (EUR9.50c), and a side of olives. Bill came to EUR47.50c (NZD93.70c). The highlight were the roasted peppers so if you decide to eat here then order it for sure and note that you'll be forced to give a tip even though tipping is not required in Greece. Nothing really outstanding here so quite an average experience across the board. Good location.
Fantastic Friendly Service. The staff were brilliant. Amazing food. Very reasonably priced.
Ask for a mastic spritz, it's not on the menu but it is a fantastic local cocktail they are more than happy to explain and make for you.
The octopus with Orzo pasta was so good that we returned a second time to have it again. A highlight of our trip to the island.
All the starters we tried were fantastic - saganaki cheese, tomatokleftedes (fritters), calamari.
Really nice view of the back of the island (not the caldera) which was actually very nice and sheltered.
