We celebrated a birthday at Ômo, and it was an exceptional experience. The curation of each dish and the attentive, genuine hospitality from the entire team made the evening feel truly special.
A highlight was having Juan, Florida’s Michelin Sommelier of the Year 2026, guide several of our wine pairings. Along with the excellent service from the rest of the team, each wine was thoughtfully presented, beautifully explained, and perfectly complemented the dishes. Several were so memorable that we’ll be adding them to our own collection.
The presentation, flavors, and hospitality made this a truly memorable dining experience. Thank you to Juan and the entire Ômo team for making this birthday so memorable. We look forward to returning.
Omo by Jont is a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The evening feels like a journey, as you move through different rooms throughout the dining experience. They offer multiple chef-selected dining packages, and for this occasion, we chose “The Jaunt.”
The service was top-notch from the moment we walked in. They greeted us warmly and acknowledged our anniversary every step of the way, which made the night feel extra special.
The restaurant executes a beautiful blend of Japanese and French inspired dishes. From the appetizers to the desserts, every dish was well crafted and memorable. It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything felt unique, but our most memorable dishes were the trout asparagus croustade, the nanatsuboshi rice, the wagyu, and the desserts. The Bomb Yuzu and Crown Melon were fresh, delicious, and an experience of their own.
They ended the night with a box of sweet treats with a thoughtful message, along with mint matcha lattes to go. It was such a special touch, and we even enjoyed them the next day.
For those who drink, they also offer a wide range of drink tasting packages, as well as by-the-glass and bottle options. Overall, Omo by Jont is an unforgettable dining experience and perfect for a special occasion.

After hearing so many glowing recommendations, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a special dinner at Omo by Jônt. What we experienced wasn't simply a meal—it was an unforgettable evening that will remain one of our favorite dining memories.
From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. Kyleigh welcomed us warmly and escorted us to the Chef's Table, where we were presented with a personalized menu and a celebratory glass of champagne. It immediately felt less like dining in a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home.
The evening began with four exquisite amuse-bouches, each thoughtfully introduced by Kyleigh, whose knowledge and attention to detail elevated every course before we even took our first bite. Every single one was phenomenal.
The scallop course with plum and cucumber was a work of art—light, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. Then came one of the most thoughtful surprises of the evening: custom chopstick rests featuring the faces of our Boston Terriers. It was such an unexpected and personal touch that perfectly embodies the level of care this team puts into every guest's experience.
I'll admit, chopsticks aren't exactly my strength, but after seeing the effort they put into every detail, I was determined to give it my best. The broth was so unbelievably delicious that I finally surrendered, grabbed my spoon, and happily savored every last drop.
One highlight was a special off-menu bite prepared just for us—a perfectly pan-fried Gouda pierogi accompanied by a luxurious sauce reminiscent of a rich béarnaise. It was comfort food elevated to fine art.
The tortellini in an intensely flavorful duck consommé delivered deep, soulful umami in every spoonful. Juan, the sommelier, paired it with an exceptional white wine carrying delicate notes reminiscent of Parmesan rind. His knowledge is remarkable, and after this experience, I'd gladly trust any recommendation he makes.
The Dungeness crab course was flawlessly prepared and paired beautifully with a perfectly seasoned briny rice.
Then came the Wagyu. It arrived looking so stunning that I genuinely hesitated before taking the first bite. Accompanied by chanterelle mushrooms and an exquisitely stuffed mushroom filled with beef sausage, it was the perfect finale to the savory courses. The accompanying red blend completed the dish beautifully.
By this point I was convinced I couldn't possibly eat another bite, but then Chef Paul stopped by our table. Watching him and his team work throughout the evening had been mesmerizing. With the open kitchen, every movement was deliberate, graceful, and beautifully orchestrated—it truly felt like watching a ballet.
Just when we thought the evening couldn't become more memorable, we were escorted into the pastry parlor, where Mason and Chef Michael welcomed us with infectious personalities and desserts that were almost too beautiful to disturb. Almost.
To finish the evening, Kyleigh crafted one of the finest espresso martinis I've ever had. Her professionalism, warmth, and remarkable knowledge were evident throughout the entire experience. She made us feel genuinely cared for from beginning to end. We were even gifted homemade treats for each of our fur babies!
Every detail at Omo by Jônt has been intentionally curated—from the ambiance and impeccable service to the glassware, plateware, silverware, wine pairings, and extraordinary cuisine. Nothing is accidental. Everything works together to create an elegant, intimate, and unforgettable experience.
To Chef Paul, Kyleigh, Juan, Mason, Chef Michael, Chef Tanner, and the entire team: thank you for creating an evening we'll never forget. Omo by Jônt isn't simply a restaurant—it's an experience. If you're looking for one of the finest dining experiences you'll ever have, don't miss this place. We cannot wait to return!

We celebrated my birthday at Omo by Jönt in Winter Park, sitting in The Salon for their Magical Dining menu, and the whole evening was fantastic from start to finish. The vibe in The Salon is great, refined and thoughtful, but comfortable enough that you can actually relax and have a conversation.
I kicked things off with their Sake Martini (Junmai Daiginjo, Cocchi Americano, and bitters). It had that crisp bite you want from sake, but finished remarkably smooth on the palate.
From there, the food just kept delivering:
Hiramasa: We started with this, and it was truly exquisite. Pristine AmberJack served with fresh tomatoes, fresh herbs, and a gochujang dashi that brought incredible depth and just the right amount of savory punch.
Crab Tart: Phenomenal little bite. The crab meat was super fresh and naturally sweet, accented really nicely with leek and sunchoke.
Key West Rock Shrimp: We added this on as an extra course. It had a light dusting of coconut over a sweet stone-fruit jam base, and the balance was spot on.
Wagyu: Hands down my favorite course of the night. It cut like butter, melted in your mouth, and came with a rich stout jus, charbroiled onion, and sweet potato puree. Absolutely exquisite.
Dessert: Wrapped up with a rich chocolate pâte à choux with chocolate ganache, complete with a birthday candle.
Beyond the food, the service really made the night. Our server was attentive, down to earth, and great to chat with throughout the meal.
If you are looking for a spot in Winter Park for a special occasion or just want to treat yourself to a memorable dinner, I cannot recommend it enough.

Every time there is a birthday or anniversary, we go to a Starred restaurant in town. Omo was the last one on our list, so we came here for a big anniversary we had earlier this year. We made our reservations, arrived, buckled up, and went along for the ride.
Ambiance was nice. I love when all of the diners are seated at a mega-bar around the kitchen. I like seeing all the phases of the dish being put together. And I also love that we got taken to a different room entirely for dessert. Dessert lounges are a trend I definitely want to stick around.
The service was nice. It wasn't the scheduled down-to-the-second kind of service choreography that some Three Star restaurants have, but it was well-timed, and it was very friendly. If I had one recommendation, it would be to have staff slow down and enunciate more clearly when it comes to describing the dish. There are so many components to so many of them, I missed some of the words.
As for the food, wow. Just wow. The website touts an experience that is both Japanese and French. We start off with the snacks course, a few little seafood courses, the big fish, the chicken, the meat, and then onto the dessert room. So there's plenty of food to go around. I won't detail everything, because it hopefully won't be the same when you come, and no one wants to read all that anyway.
I will point out some highlights and lowlights.
I'm gonna say it, this was one of the best snacks course I've had at tasting menu, ever. The wonderful contrasting textures, the intricate tweezer work on ingredients that actually help the flavor, it was just so good.
The choose-your-own-chopstick-adventure box was a fun surprise. The playfulness of the emergency fork at the end of the box was hilarious. A really nice way for a place like this to lighten things up, for people who maybe come here a little stiff because of the pricetag.
The crispiness of that chicken skin was unlike anything I've ever eaten, and I will remember it until my dying day. That was probably the biggest surprise of the night. Thank you for that, Omo.
The biggest lowlight of the evening for me was the "beignet" that was served with the final savory, meat course. Whatever that thing was was not a beignet, and calling it one brings you great shame.
The desserts were ultra fun. I like how they really wanted to showcase Florida citrus, I loved that Melon, a really impressive piece of fruit, and the playfulness of that box was something I hadn't seen in American tasting menus, I was really glad to see it.
Overall, this was a very good experience. I will not rank it publicly against other Starred restaurants in Orlando, but if you are interested in that kind of stuff, just reach out, we can chat. A really nice meal, Omo. Thank you!
