Customer Perception
Customer feedback for the dining options at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort is mixed. Guenther's Bar receives high praise for its great drinks and excellent bartender service. However, the overall food options are often described as limited, average, and sometimes overpriced ('inflated resort prices'). Some guests found the lamb rack at Talia to be overcooked, and Cafe Azuli's food to be average. Many reviewers suggest bringing personal snacks if specific dietary preferences are a concern.

Best Times to Visit
No specific best times for dining are mentioned, but the resort itself can experience crowded periods, particularly around 4:30 PM in communal areas like locker rooms.
We had a great three night stay. The coffee house food is so good! The spa is amazing; loved my facial. And overall, a very relaxing few days at the pools. But by far, the best part: ON SITE CHILDCARE! Cannot say enough good things about The Bloom Crew Ms Katie and Ms Amber. Great family trip.
It was amazing staying at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort. Guenther's Manager Allison is amazing. She is friendly and always willing to answer questions about the menu and the space.
We met Sophia while strolling around the Cabanas. She is so friendly and made sure we had everything we need and were comfortable. She came by to check on us a few times during our stay there and gave us ideas on where we can go to cool down during peak heat.
Thank you for such a great stay and we look forward to staying here again!

I had high expectations for Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience, especially for the price.
The biggest issue was the operations. Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM, leaving very little time to enjoy the resort. We arrived around 2:00 PM hoping for an early check-in, but our room wasn't ready, so we had to change in the shared bathhouse. The locker room was dirty, crowded with both hotel guests and day-pass visitors, and there weren't enough showers.
The resort also seemed severely understaffed. There was only one person at the front desk handling check-ins while explaining the resort to every guest. The hallways and carpets were dirty, and our room felt poorly designed with random furniture, a dirty rug, no slippers, cheap toiletries, and an AC that didn't work properly.
Dining was also hit or miss. At Talia, we were ignored for about 10 minutes after being seated outside, and my medium lamb rack came out medium-well. Guenther's Bar was excellent, the bartender made great drinks and provided the best service of our stay. Cafe Azuli, however, served average food at inflated resort prices.
The only standout feature was the private hot spring area reserved for hotel guests, which was peaceful and enjoyable.
Overall, the hot springs themselves are wonderful, but the resort is understaffed, poorly maintained, and not worth the premium price. I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail.

Nowhere near as nice as the Glen Ivy Springs if you like wilderness, trees, and a lot of pools.
This just seemed more like a large Hotel pool area.
I can only compare it to Glen Ivy and the rooms and original cabins are beautiful. I'm glad they preserved all the original facilities.
It's a lot more quiet and here, people are not yelling and screaming. Did you have a lot of really warm swimming pools.
Supposedly all the pools are filled with mineral water but I really doubt it, or it must be really really diluted.
The bathrooms in the showers were kind of dark and gloomy and they weren't cleaned all day. So there were hair chunks in the shower, the soap dispensers were empty by 4:00 p.m., and there were dirty towels everywhere that weren't picked up.
One of the things they stopped doing is they stopped providing Tower stations, which I totally understand from a business point karma in which saves the Matata of money from people not discarding tells after they use them just once. But it is a danger inconvenience for the guests, even though it has not stopped anyone from coming or returning.
If you stay past 6:00 p.m. it becomes really quiet and calm, very few people left and they're open till 10:00 p.m.
Also, they charge you like $13 for the lockers, but you can easily bring your bag with you and just carry it with you. Are there with anyone would steal it there because people either pay $300 a night to stay at the place or pay a hundred bucks to get in there, and it's easy enough to keep an eye on your stuff
