We enjoyed everything! Our server was fantastic. Our meal was delicious, and we especially loved the Lavender Coconut Margarita and the Watermelon Lime Margarita, both were very refreshing. We can't wait to come back!
A very popular restaurant so wanted to stop in and see for myself. Aside of chips with guacamole salsa and queso was good. Ordered a Pino Margarita and it was ok but would have preferred bolder flavors. Tried the Enchiladas platter with barbacoa. Unfortunately the Verdes sauce and pickled red onions overpowered the barbacoa. The charro beans were ok as well. The Mineroa burrito with el pastor is coated in fried cheese which is nice. It was a little dry. Some crema would go a long way for both dishes.

I really liked all the options for seating, I got the tocos and I recommend the Al pastor and get the flour tortillas. Our serve was great and they even had mocktails. The zero pina was refreshing and not too sweet.

REALLY liked Minero. After chatting with a couple at the bar, they said it used to be Fat Hen. (I knew there was something familiar about the place when I pulled in.) Fat Hen is missed and was an excellent restaurant from several years back, closed when the owner's retired.
Minero owner's have expanded the footprint of the original building. You'll find a main dining room, double-sided bar that accommodates the main dining room and the closed in, porch-style dining area, which is where I parked myself. TV with sports on are in the porch area. There is also a vast outside dining area. It is perfect for Charleston's fall weather, but looks well shaded for summertime. Freshly made scratch margaritas await you AND they have a Tequila List -- gotta love that -- yall know me, I know I do.
I started with a shot of Don Julio Blanco and a Corona Light. My appetizer was this terrific Salsa Tasting w/ chips. I kept it pretty simple and got Steak Tacos w/ refried beans and could not resist a lovely chorizo dip. As usual, I started eating before taking a photo, but my entre' does show one taco and the refried beans.
Whether you are visiting or a resident, put Minero on your list of restaurants at which to dine....and dine often!

Love the patio! Always great service and food. Tried the limited time chipotle lime wings- sooo good! We usually get fajitas and tacos, but tried the burger and salad this time and great all around.
