This is an amazing place, the restaurant is carefully designed and decorated and it gives an amazing vibe and everything looks great. We had a reservation and still we had to wait over 30 minutes to have our table. The food was truly exceptional and the service was great. Everything was exceptional, however I’m not sure this is a Michelin star place and experience.
Good food, good value for money but experience not Michelin star IMO.
Firstly, having to wait just over half an hour after your booking time for your table isn’t a great first experience, and not being able to be given an estimated time for seating.. But the cocktails were good whilst we waited.
The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant is great and unassuming from the main road.
And the food - good but not amazing. The steak was cooked very well, nice sides with it too. And the cheese & onion soufflé (I think it was) was just lacking something, even though it was very rich. Perhaps the bread, although incredibly soft, didn’t carry much flavour itself.
A lovely experience and a good value meal given the restaurant has a star, but wasn’t blown away.

Wonderful meal at Maximo Bistrot in May and it’s left its mark! I cannot wait to come back. The banana cake with caviar was so stunning! Every bite was unforgettable! Their Michelin star is so deserved. The place feels really cool and not stuffy, I loved how creative the dishes were and everything I tasted was just so full of flavour and beautiful. Did not regret getting the tasting menu at all and I would go back in a second!

Imagine taking a sip of your beer at this up and coming restaurant, only to discover your glass has a razor sharp chip on the rim. Easily able to slice your lips. You immediately stop drinking your beer and call the server over who apologizes, then brings a new glass and beer. Guess what? Your SECOND glass has a chip. Another server gaslights you by saying it's normal and due to hand blowing the glass.
Just finished dinner at Maximo and had high hopes for this up and coming restaurant. For any restaurant, attention to detail is critical, particularly when patrons' health and safety is at risk. We received an apology from a server but surprised the restaurant didn't take a more serious response.
We ordered the roasted beets and BBQ fried chicken as appetizers, both incredibly flavourful (but not overly so). Highly recommend. For our main courses, we chose the Wagyu ribeye and Red Snapper. The ribeye was slightly on the overdone side but still incredibly flavorful, albeit a bit overpowered by the reduction. Portion size was larger than expected. The red snapper was incredible, cooked perfectly with an excellent, balanced savory flavor and a hint of spiciness.
It's truly unfortunate that the restaurant staff practically swept the glass shard issue under the rug at the expense of the talented chef and kitchen team. We won't return.

Perfect Score. We walked in without a reservation and actually got a table, so It was meant to be. EVERY dish we ordered was delicious. The attention to detail on the flavors was acknowledged. I even tried the burger which was a little wet but after the first bite, I understood the intention behind the texture choice. The drinks were delicious and to top it off... The dessert (The french toast and ice cream) set bar for "postres" the rest of the trip. What an amazing experience.
