Had an early dinner at the bar on 4-22-26 during NFL Draft week. Our server, Diane was very personable and attentive. We had a Caesar salad, 16 oz ribeye steak and lobster mac & cheese. The salad was delicious with plenty of dressing and large croutons. The lobster Mac & cheese was not great, it lacked flavor and it barely had any lobster. We ordered our steak medium rare and it came out medium well. We sent the steak back and a new one came out about ten minutes later. The steak could have been better, it was not flavorful. Matthew from behind the bar took our drinks and mac & cheese off our bill which was appreciated. Probably won’t eat here again and prefer Hyde Park Steakhouse.
Joined the Horse Soldier bourbon dinner and everything was 100% on point! Quality of food, service, timing and pairings were excellent. This was our second time attending this style of dinner and for $125/person, the value is all there. We look forward to returning.

I have a usual order here, the rigatoni with a meatball. Decided to try something new and had the Spicy Penne Cognac and it's my new favorite. Absolutely delicious, not overly spicy. I had leftovers and it was just as good reheated.

The wines were very good and love the fried egg plant with cheese and tomato dish was absolutely amazing l, impressed by how good it was. Our Ribeye was very tasty too. For the whiskey, I expected it to be slightly better with the bigger and clearer ice 🧊. But everything is good!

The Valentine's Day fixed menu was a huge disappointment for "fine" dining. It was very awkward from the start. We had to split a side salad (with an odd number of croutons), and the thing was just lettuce and dressing.
The waiter said it was "family style", so romantic /s.
The Prime rib and lobster were alright, but no better than what a home chef could do. Doubt we'll be back for any holidays moving forward.
One last thing for the other River's restaurant - whoever at Wheelhouse decided Pineapple Pasta should exist... shame on you.
