Vibrant, laid-back, and full of energy—Ocean's Lounge is definitely a vibe. I pulled up on a Tuesday for karaoke and had an amazing time—good music, great crowd, and just the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
Super convenient location too, with a parking lot right across the street plus additional street parking nearby (a win on H Street!). I was salty I missed the pop-up collab with Mama’s Kitchen in SE—because their pizza is always a hit—but that just gives me another reason to come back.

I stopped in for their karaoke party. I got frisked on the way in, which i never enjoy, but I had FUN once I got to the bar. There was a big group of very lively, very friendly women celebrating a birthday and they were obsessed with me so that was a riot. Chef Ray invited me back to try the food so I'm gonna stop in for hh after court tomorrow and see what the kitchen is talmbout.

Total scam- a bartender was drinking at another establishment on H and invited my group to the bar. The vibe was fun; however, she poured us shots (without asking, seemingly complimentary) in addition to the three other drinks we ordered and charged over $120 for four people. The staff was combative but eventually promised a partial refund (tbd if that will happen) after negotiations with various people. Not a good way to treat customers.

As a business woman myself, having my client perform at Ocean Lounge weekly back in 2022-2023, was great for his career and getting him locally recognized in a city that was brand new to him! Always a GREAT time!
