A cozy dopamine-boosting little café I’ve saved for ages—
Perfect for brunch on a nice day.
Tried two less popular dishes and both turned out delicious.
🌟 LOBSTER TARRAGON BENEDICT
Plenty of lobster meat with a rich buttery flavor.
Not too much hollandaise, so it’s not greasy at all—actually pairs really well.
The salad comes with strawberries and orange—the whole plate is just tasty.
🌟 PROSCIUTTO & HOT HONEY SANDWICH
This prosciutto burrata focaccia sandwich is so good!
The bread is nicely toasted on the outside, and inside there’s peach and homemade hot honey.
Sweet and savory—such a pleasant surprise.
☕️ HOJICHA LATTE
☕️ SOY CAPPUCCINO
The drinks were pretty average, nothing special.
And I love that they take reservations in advance 🥹
Street parking is easy too.
Just a short walk after the meal and you’re at Earnest.
📍 Loam Bistro
Today, I planned to visit Shipyard but wanted to avoid the big chain restaurants. I stumbled upon this gem on Google and made an easy online reservation. It is just a 6-minute walk from the Lonsdale Quay Seabus Terminal.
My son ordered the CLOUD LEMONADE, a featured item on the August menu, and the GRILLED CHEESE SLOPPY JOES. I opted for the UBE & HALLOUMI BOWL, another August feature.
We were newcomers, so we did not have high expectations. The cafe is cozy and small, with a few outdoor seating options for those with furry friends.
The food presentation was fantastic. My dish looked vibrant and delicious. I just wished the ube hummus had more ube flavour.
I will definitely return next time I am in North Vancouver to try more of their menu.
Cute and cozy atmosphere. Good coffee and great food. We had the latkes and the avocado croast and the pistachio mocha and the lobster Mac n cheese and an iced strawberry matcha. Everyone was very pleased with their food!
We walked by this place today, and it looked cute, so we decided to give it a try. We were seated and served by Joy, who was wonderful! She was friendly, efficient and really helped us with the menu, describing the dishes and providing great recommendations.
We ended up ordering the truffle omelette and the lobster benedict. Both were delicious, but that lobster benedict was the star. We would definitely come back to try the other dishes and recommend it to our friends!
The atmosphere is nice, but the space is quite small and the food is on the pricey side. The Eggs Benedict was pretty good, but the potato latkas were very average and not worth the price. The coffee was excellent.
