Lovely little coffee spot inside the forum library. A cosy, calm vibe and the coffee is genuinely good. The flat whites are the correct size which I appreciate. The menu is creative, I had a hot cross bun flapjack that was amazing and I love the sound of things like the tiramisu protein balls and brown butter miso cookies.
Prices are very reasonable and the owner is really friendly, which makes a big difference :)
Really nice spot, loved Lenny’s Coffee & Books. The coffee is amazing and the matcha’s great too. Tried a breakfast roll and it was really good, just simple and tasty.
Connor was super helpful, suggested some lovely books and made ordering really easy. Just a genuinely nice vibe overall.
One of the best independent coffee shops in Southend/Westcliff, if not Essex. I popped into Lenny’s Coffee & Books on London Road for a flat white and a pastry, and it was genuinely excellent. The coffee tasted expertly dialled in, the staff were friendly, and the whole place has a really calm, creative atmosphere with the books, music and little details.
It feels different from a normal cafe, somewhere you can grab a takeaway coffee, sit with a book, work for a bit, eat an amazing house made. Sandwich or meet someone. I also noticed they have oat milk and vegan options, which is great.
Really good value for the quality, no long wait, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the monthly specials and menu. Easily one of my favourite local spots and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Staff friendly, cute little shop and nice coffee. Not too expensive either and I love there is no surcharge for oat milk. Could definitely do with some ambience/background music to make the shop feel a bit more relaxed.
Absolutely loved this coffee shop. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the coffee was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. You can tell they really care about quality, from the perfectly made drinks and attention to detail. Will definitely be coming back.
