I had breakfast at this restaurant and café, and it was an excellent experience in every way.
The place is located in the heart of the capital, making it very convenient. You can choose to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere, or head upstairs if you prefer a quieter setting away from the street.
The décor is modern and elegant, creating a comfortable and welcoming ambiance. The staff were also extremely friendly, polite, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I ordered a croissant with milk and coffee, and everything was delicious. What impressed me the most was the croissant, which had the rich taste of real butter, reflecting the quality of the ingredients used.
I had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive , friendly, attentive, and professional.
Overall, it was a great time, and I would definitely come back again.

The restaurant is beautiful, both inside and on the outdoor patio.
I have visited twice. The cappuccino is quite diluted and tastes too milky, with very little coffee flavor.
On my second visit, I came with friends and we were billed incorrectly. The interaction with the waitress and the person at the till was awkward and rude. I think some staff could be trained to be more polite with customers.
I won’t be returning to this place.

There are places you go to eat, and then there are places you keep coming back to without even thinking. This is one of them.
From the moment you walk in, there is a genuine sense of welcome. Not something rehearsed, but real. You feel it straight away. You are received properly, with warmth, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.
The atmosphere is what makes it special. Lively but comfortable, full of life without ever feeling overwhelming. People are relaxed, enjoying their time, and there is a natural flow to it. It feels familiar, even on your first visit.
The food is proper food, done with care. Whether you come for breakfast, a relaxed brunch, or something savoury later on, everything is prepared with attention and generosity. It is the kind of place where you know you will eat well, whatever you choose.
The service is just right. Friendly, attentive, and easy. Nothing forced, nothing over the top. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the small details.
It is one of those places that simply gets everything right. No fuss, no pretence, just a genuinely good experience from start to finish.
I cannot recommend it enough.

A huge shoutout to Mariam, Chakib, and Teyeb—the core staff members who made this such an amazing visit. Thank you all so much for the hospitality!
Laurel Restaurant is one of the few places open in the center on a Friday at 14:00, making it a great find. The team is incredibly friendly and professional, and the atmosphere—both inside and on the outdoor patio—is a total vibe. The staff are multilingual, which is a massive plus if you are an English speaker and are finding it a bit difficult to navigate the local language barrier.
The experience here feels familiar and high-end, yet it is elevated by authentic Algerian food preparation and top-tier customer service. It is easily one of the most polished establishments for brunch in the area. The team manages to be welcoming, open-minded, and laid-back while remaining highly efficient.
On a personal note: the Musca Mule is an incredible mocktail. It’s so well-crafted that you probably wouldn’t even notice the difference. Highly recommended!
