Been to the restaurant on 2 separate occasions at this point and thoroughly enjoyed my experience there every time. The service is incredible and they make sure you’re happy with the food. The food is absolutely incredible with great portion sizes and the onion soup is seriously the best I’ve ever had. Everything I’ve had here so far exceeded my expectations and quickly became my favourite restaurant and everytime I’m here I just feel like I’m at home. From the service to the amazing food it really is just an incredible restaurant. My only regret is not visiting sooner! Furthermore the price is legitimately so worth it compared to all the tourist traps in the same area. Will definitely be dining here every chance I get! Every time someone asks me for a restaurant recommendation in Paris I saw this place now. I truly and thoroughly love and enjoy this restaurant so so much. ❤️
We had a wonderful dining experience! The French onion soup was absolutely outstanding rich, flavorful, and one of the best we’ve ever had. Our waiter recommended an excellent wine that paired perfectly with the meal. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly, and every dish was delicious. We truly enjoyed our evening and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
We walked into La Poule au Pot purely by chance, with no reservation and no idea of its history or the chef behind it. We were simply looking for a warm meal after a long day in Paris, and what we found turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences of our trip.
From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was welcoming. The service was exceptional. The lady who attended to us was like a mother to everyone. Kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. She made sure we were comfortable and even let me charge my phone, which was running low. The entire staff made us feel right at home.
We ordered the escargot, the French onion soup which was incredibly rich and flavorful, a beautifully cooked steak that became our favorite of the night, and the poule au pot—a classic chicken and broth dish that was deeply comforting and satisfying.
We would like to thank the staff of this lovely place for the wonderful experience for my family.
Authentic little French restaurant tucked only a few streets away from the Eiffel Tower! Waiters couldn’t speak English well but despite the odds, were warm, welcome and accomodating! Each dish we ordered (Escargot, French Onion Soup and special of the day to name a few) were exquisite in flavour! The place was super small and seating was a bit squishy but once again, staff were accomodating in every way to make it work! Highly recommended for those searching for an authentic French dining experience!
