Ki Opou To Pei

A wonderful restaurant, one of our two exceptional finds in Pelion this summer, the other one is Kardamo Oinomageireio in Makrinitsa . This is novel Greek cuisine, or Greek food with a twist. Dishes that you don’t find elsewhere, like the grilled cheese with quince jam, that will stay on my mind for a long time :) Zucchini pie, bifteki, the pork with green peppers, the feta with figs, the beef, the sweet salami, all was excellent. Located in the beautiful Lavkos town square under giant plane trees.

In the beautiful mountain village of Lavkos, at the foot of Mount Pelion, you’ll find this charming restaurant, «Κι όπου το πει», located on a picturesque square shaded by olive trees. We visited with our Greek friends, who felt that the dishes weren’t traditionally Greek enough — yet that didn’t stop them from thoroughly enjoying the meal! They were a bit critical of the tomatoes, but absolutely loved the baked feta, which was truly delicious. We tried a pasta dish, a lamb burger, and pork stew — all well-prepared, with particularly good-quality meat. The portions were generous, and the flavors rich and satisfying. But what really made the experience special was the ambiance: dining outdoors on a quiet square, surrounded by old stone buildings and a lovely view of the hills. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger for hours.

Great place, I highly recommend! A lot of options for vegetarians and the menu has a creative twists on typical greek cuisine. Well executed and with a charming staff - it’s a must try if you’re in the region!

The place is situated over a stream and under a number of trees. Even in the summer, it is substantially cool sitting there. The food is selection of Greek cuisine with a twist. Everything was tasteful and the owners engaged and pleasant. Definitely will visit again this little cute place.
