Went to Joon Restaurant for lunch and had a really nice experience. The food was delicious and the service was good. One thing to keep in mind: if you ask for extra condiments, like hot sauce, there is a separate charge for it — nothing is complimentary. I especially loved the Kashke Bademjan, which reminded me of a flavorful baba ghanoush. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely visit again!

Joon is a great Persian restaurant in Tysons. I went here for their lunch special, which was a pretty good deal. When we walked in, we were greeted with smile. My server wnet through the menu with us since it was our my first time there. I ordered chicken kabob with side of mast o khiar and chelow rice. I also ordered lamb and pistachio meatball as an appetizer. The meatball came out pretty fast. It was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. There was pomegranate sauce at the bottom with white cream, which added a bit of sourness that goes well with meatball. I would recommend this dish. On the other hand, chicken kabob was dry and didn’t really taste special at all. Neither did bread or rice came with it. They were all very dry. Mast o khiar was not bad. I would try beef kabob next time. Atmosphere was fancy and luxurious. It felt like I was at fine dining restaurant. Parking could get tricky if you can’t find a spot in the parking lot with limites space. You would have to park in the garage, which could feel like a maze to get to the restaurant. Overall, great experience. Not the best Persian food I tried, but certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service.

A few us had lunch at Joon today and enjoyed a variety of dishes. We asked to split an order of pistachio soup into 3 servings and the waiter accommodated our request. It was delicious and tasted better than I thought it would. I had the wagyu kabab with cucumber salad which was delicious too.The chocolate and kataifi pie was super good with a layer of pistachio and chocolate and the service was great, attentive and helpful. I will definitely be back to enjoy more dishes.

Pretty decent food! We got the hummus which we enjoyed… think there’s extra bread too! The branzino and wagyu kabob was good. I’d probably salt them a tad bit more. Otherwise, I’m sure you can’t go wrong with the other kabobs and entrees. Our server, Stephanie was amazing and she really provided a wonderful experience for us. Thank you again!
