A dear friend of ours, who has lived in New York for many years, suggested IPPUDO after sharing how it had become a tradition to bring his family here, and for good reason. Everything here is absolutely phenomenal. IPPUDO makes their noodles and broth on site, and those details make all the difference. The ambience is relaxed and inviting. A great way to enjoy a great meal at your pace.
We showed for lunch on a Monday afternoon, and were seated and served very quickly. Our server was very engaged, and took good care of us. For starters we had the edamame and pork buns. The edamame was wonderfully garlicky, and the pork buns were simply bite sized pieces of joy between two doughy pillows. As a main meal, I ordered the Karaka Spicy ramen. It had the perfect amount of spice, and extra noodles were complimentary. I had mine with a poached egg, which blended in seamlessly with all the savory textures and flavors. While the bowl seemed almost overwhelmingly large, it was easy to enjoy in full because of how delicious it was.
I've had a fair share of ramen dishes, and IPPUDO is right up there with the best.
If you’re just looking for a quick bowl of ramen, there are plenty of places in New York City. But if you’re a true ramen lover, IPPUDO Westside should definitely be on your list.
I’ve been to several IPPUDO locations over the years, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. The rich tonkotsu broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and tender chashu pork were exactly what I expect from the IPPUDO brand. Every bowl is consistently delicious, which is why I keep coming back whenever I visit a city with an IPPUDO.
The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, friendly service, and even though it’s popular, it’s well worth the wait. Founded in Fukuoka, Japan in 1985, IPPUDO helped introduce authentic tonkotsu ramen to New York when it opened its first U.S. location in Manhattan in 2008, and it has remained one of the city’s iconic ramen destinations ever since. Been to this restaurant many times, including their NYC locations and Tokyo. All have been fantastic. I love their spicy ramen. Right now they have an offer that includes 1 round of free kaedama (refill of noodles). Definitely recommend if you are looking for a good ramen spot in the city.

Had a good time dining in here on a weekend. The ambience was good, quiet and peaceful. The service was great with the food being served quickly and also the staff checking for any allergies.
The vegan options are really good although it could be a bit more spicy in my opinion.
The yuzu soda and vegan spicy miso is a must try here!

We had the Spicy Gyoza appetizer, Karaka Spicy, Yuzu Shoyu, and Spicy Tuna Roll. Everything was phenomenal! We came a little early for dinner (around 4:20), and were seated immediately. The service was great and all three servers were attentive and gracious. Can’t wait to come back.
