Fair warning: I'm a hard sell. I judge food on taste, presentation, and whether they got it right, and I don't grade on a curve.
I ordered four rolls: the crispy chicken, tuna, and cucumber. At first glance they look amazing, and they're significantly larger than a typical sushi roll. Presentation gets full marks. The taste was okay, but just okay. The rice-to-filling ratio was off. I went looking for the tuna and nearly had to file a missing persons report. What I found was mostly rice with a rumor of filling, and the flavor was underwhelming to match.
This was their first week open, so I'll be back once they've worked out the hiccups. Handroll Hawker, you've got the looks. Now give the roll something on the inside.
