We have long considered the service here to be a masterfully conducted symphony, with every detail attended to with a precision that borders on art, all paired with cuisine that consistently sets the standard for fine dining in the city.
Yet, during yesterday's visit, we noticed a distinct, beautiful shift in the room. The impeccable, world-class standard we always crave remained entirely intact, but the staff carried a different aura—one filled with renewed warmth and an effortless, vibrant energy.
We quickly realized the catalyst for this wonderful evolution is the new manager, Carlos. He was an absolute delight, taking the time to chat with each table in a way that felt genuinely welcoming. It was equally wonderful to witness his interaction with his crew; his leadership radiates a positive, uplifting energy that clearly inspires the entire team. Kudos to the whole team at Gabriel Kreuther—that third star is surely on the horizon, and we remain as loyal as ever.
The incredible staff deserve a third star for the incredible evening they curated seamlessly for my wife & I. As hospitality professionals ourselves, we always love to see team operate on a different level & this group is a well run machine with invisible systems, unreasonable hospitality & the perfect level of comfortable mixed with professional.
I've had, in my lifetime, maybe 4 "memorable meals" & this is one more. It's a shame we live 2 hours away up north, however we will be using our experience as a benchmark of excellence to strive for when we train our own team back home at Lone Wolf in Kingston, NY.
Hats off to the entire FOH & BOH teams. I hope management read this aloud & shares with you why your role matters.
One of our favorite places to dine in NYC. The ambience is warm and inviting and sets the perfect tone from the moment you walk in. The staff is incredible—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish feels is offers bold new flavors. From the exceptional food to the outstanding service, this is a place we find ourselves returning to again and again. Highly recommended.
I tremendously enjoyed the 4-course menu at Gabriel Kreuther, and couldn’t recommend it more for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion. Other than the sheer excellence of the food - the team went above and beyond to make this a special night for us. I would go as far as saying this was the best meal I’ve had in the city.
I’ve been to a quantity of Michelin star restaurants across the world, and I can say this truly earned its stars. I’m a tough critic and I can’t say the same for a lot of the other NYC Michelin restaurants - which have generally been a disappointment in comparison to those in Europe.
From the moment you walk into the organic, zen space, you are welcomed with the most gracious and attentive staff. The food largely holds up to the standards established 10 years ago. The four course option is very good, but the real treat is the chef's tasting menu. A definite must try if you are looking for an exceptional dining experience in NYC.
