Romantic and fun atmosphere, perfect for a date night. Crazy fresh seafood… the black cod bites were amazing. The crab cakes… delicious! Such a wonderful first experience, would highly recommend! Will be back soon.
I had a wonderful experience at Finn & Fire in Alexandria, Virginia. The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend the shrimp and grits, the charbroiled oysters, and the surf and turf sushi. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented.
The drinks were also very good, and I really enjoyed the combination of live music and the carefully selected soundtrack playing throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere had a modern, upscale feel with beautiful décor that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
One of the highlights of the evening was when the owner came over to greet us. That personal touch made us feel genuinely welcomed and showed how much she cares about her guests' experience.
Overall, Finn & Fire delivered great food, delicious drinks, a fantastic atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Alexandria.
Really enjoyed Finn & Fire in Old Town!
The standout for me was the crab curry — creamy, flavorful, and topped with a generous amount of lump crab meat. It was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the meal.
We also had the chicken pasta and the potatoes. The chicken was nicely grilled, the pasta was rich and flavorful, and the potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Great food, nice atmosphere, and a really enjoyable dinner in Old Town. I would absolutely go back — and I'm ordering the crab curry again!
My experience was AMAZING! This restaurant is on another level. From the appetizers to the drinks to the entrées I left here wanting more. This is the restaurant that I’ve been looking for. I will be back again!
Superior services and top notch atmosphere!!
The atmosphere of this place is amazing. It is very cozy. The service is really good. Kind of slow during the time I went which was 4pm. The manager Adrian was very nice and came took the Wagyu dumplings off our bill due to me not liking them as you will read later. He offered a dessert on the restaurant but I declined. I appreciate the waiter( ) he took his time in explaining the menu and what was a best seller and some restaurant favorites.
This is what I had:
Curry Crab Soup – It was okay. The soup had a generous amount of lump crab meat, which I appreciated, but the curry flavor leaned heavily toward mustard, which overpowered the dish for me.
Wagyu Dumplings – Unfortunately, these were disappointing. The filling lacked flavor and seasoning, and the dumplings came across as pasty and doughy rather than tender and savory.
Wagyu Niku Nigiri – Nothing particularly memorable. It tasted like plain beef over rice without much depth of flavor or anything that made it stand out.
Hamachi Yuzu Nigiri – This was the highlight of the meal. It was fresh, bright, and tasted just as described on the menu. While the cut wasn’t as clean or refined as what you’d expect from an omakase experience, it was easily the best dish I had here.
