We stayed for a spa break. An absolutely stunning hotel, meals were incredible - we had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner here... All exceptional. Appreciated the warm scones too!!
Only downside was the room we were in was a tad dated. Tiny shower too. I feel it could definitely modernise whilst keeping its old charm.
Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
I've stayed in many hotels across the UK over the past 50 years, and I can honestly say that Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa is the finest I've ever experienced.
If you can find fault with this place, I'd genuinely be amazed.
From the moment you arrive, it's clear that every detail has been carefully considered. The grounds are immaculately maintained, the views are beautiful, and the historic character of the hall radiates through every room. It has a warmth and elegance that's very difficult to put into words.
The bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable. The beds and pillows provide one of the best night's sleep I've had in years, the showers have excellent water pressure, and every part of the accommodation feels luxurious without ever feeling pretentious.
The spa is equally impressive. It's spacious, beautifully designed and wonderfully relaxing. Every member of staff is welcoming, attentive and clearly passionate about creating an exceptional experience.
I also stepped well outside my comfort zone and booked a one-hour deep tissue full-body massage. I'd always avoided massages because I was worried someone might aggravate existing problems with my back or legs. I couldn't have been more wrong. The therapist was outstanding. I walked in with stiffness and discomfort, and walked out standing straighter than I had in months. It was genuinely one of the most beneficial treatments I've ever had, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
What really sets Fawsley Hall apart, though, is the people. Their attention to detail, professionalism and genuine pride in what they do shine through in every interaction. Nothing feels forced; everyone simply wants you to have an unforgettable stay.
Whether you're looking for somewhere to relax, celebrate a special occasion, spend quality time with someone you care about, or simply escape everyday life for a while, I cannot recommend Fawsley Hall highly enough.
In my opinion, this is one of the very best hotels in England. Only somewhere like The Savoy in London might compete with the overall experience.
I rarely write reviews, and I've certainly never felt compelled to write one like this before. Quite simply, Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa exceeded every expectation I had.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
I genuinely can't wait to return.

We stayed here for a spa day and overnight stay for the bank holiday weekend. The spa itself was very clean and had lots of amenities - a steam room, two saunas, an aromatherapy room, outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi, sun loungers in an outdoor area, indoor sun loungers, and pool.
For the spa, my four improvements would be:
- Provide us with slippers/sandals for free on entry — many other spas do this so we were a little surprised by this
- The hot tub was on a rather annoying timer that we couldn’t control so it felt like we were sitting in a warm swimming pool for the majority of the time
- It gets quite busy in the afternoon so there aren’t many sun loungers to relax on
- The masseuse for one of us didn’t query how firm the massage should be so just be aware that you may need to verbalise if it’s not offered!
The staff at the spa were all very friendly and welcoming. We had the afternoon tea as well which was plentiful and tasty.
The hotel itself is a stunning building and the grounds including the small church are also very nice with so much history. The room was clean and well-made, and the bed comfortable. We used the restaurant for dinner which also had tasty food and attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was also plentiful and we left feeling satisfied.
Improvements for the hotel:
- When we checked in, we had to prompt for information about breakfast location and timings — we would have been slightly clueless if we didn’t!
- Although everything else from our spa/stay experience was booked (afternoon tea, treatment, room booking), we were surprised to find out on checkin that we didn’t have a reservation for dinner even though the booking said we get £45 off dinner each. We therefore had to book for a 9pm dinner with limited availability on a busy bank holiday. It would be nice to have made this clearer that we need to book dinner separately when booking online.
- Breakfast was lovely, but we found the service the different tables received varied greatly (about which other guests also commented to us). As an example, when we were seated, we were just asked if we wanted tea or coffee and given a menu. Others were asked if they wanted orange juice and toast, others were given a full explanation that there was a separate buffet and you didn’t need to order from the menu, others were given more choice of coffee, and some tables didn’t have any butter or milk on them whereas others did. It wasn’t a big deal because we just asked (or served ourselves juice etc!), but it would be nice to see some consistency in service.
Overall, I would recommend this place as a getaway, and the spa was lovely, as was our stay, with just a few small improvements to make our experience perfect.

I visited for afternoon tea and it truly exceeded expectations. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery with plenty of scenic walks to enjoy. The food was very generous, so much so that we couldn’t finish it all, but we were able to take the leftovers home, which was a lovely touch. The tea itself was excellent. They were also accommodating for our dietary requirements. I would highly recommend it for a special occasion.

Very clean and great staff. The breakfast was lovely. Nice to find out that the meat from the brasserie is all halal, which meant I had a steak on our second night. The afternoon teas was lovely if a bit pricey. Also the ravioli dish was wonderful too. Loved the food.
The superiors double room was really clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable.
The spa facilities are fantastic and not busy. Other guests were perfectly pleasant, didn't experience any issues considering we were the only non-white couple there and my wife dresses modestly. We spent an afternoon there across the various rooms. A few hours relaxing in the spa garden was the perfect way to pass an afternoon on a warm day.
Only a couple of minor niggles - I called the reception a couple of times and nobody answered.
We were there during the heatwave and found that the AC is set so it won't go below 19 so we had to close all the blinds in the room the entire time and found that they were effectively acting as radiators with the heat. We asked for a fan to be bought up and my wife had to ask a second time in regards to that before they provided one.
Also as someone that absolutely loves coffee I was really disappointed with the coffee here. I don't think it's that difficult to improve but I get the feeling all the coffee comes from automated machines rather than someone making it by hand. It could be improved very easily by getting fresher beans and some training for staff considering it's a luxury venue.
The bed although comfortable you could feel the split in the middle between the two mattresses.
Lovely stay overall and would go back here or to another hotel from the same chain with no reservations.
