We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday at Fancy’s, and I have to say, the experience was exceptional from beginning to end.
In a city like Houston, where there is certainly no shortage of restaurants, genuine hospitality and impeccable service can be surprisingly hard to find. Fancy’s reminded us that when a restaurant truly understands the importance of its guests and celebratory milestones, it makes all the difference.
From the moment we arrived for our private celebration, the attention to detail was evident. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the team cared for us as private-party guests. Every detail was handled with intention, and we never felt overlooked or like just another reservation on the books.
A special thank you to Kay, our server, who was incredibly patient, attentive, and gracious throughout the evening. Her level of attentiveness helped make the celebration feel effortless for us. We also have to give major appreciation to the bartender (who made some absolutely delicious drinks), and Randall (the manager) who continually checked in on my husband and I as hosts! Everything was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully executed.
When you’re hosting a special occasion, you remember how people made you feel just as much as you remember the food, and they got that part right. Good food and great drinks are wonderful, but exceptional service and genuine hospitality are what make an experience memorable.

What an incredible dining experience at Fancy’s! From the moment we sat down, everything was top-notch. The food was absolutely amazing every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and left us wanting more.
But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Kelsey. She was attentive, warm, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests the entire time. She checked in at all the right moments without being intrusive and had a wonderful energy that added so much to the evening.

Kelsey was absolutely amazing and made our whole experience so enjoyable! She recommended the happy hour, took care of our entire table, and every drink she suggested was strong and delicious. She was funny, welcoming, and made sure we all felt comfortable from the moment we sat down. Her service was genuinely excellent, and you could tell she really cared about making sure we had a great time. If you come here, definitely ask for Kelsey—you won’t be disappointed!

I visited Fancys during happy hour and overall had a positive experience. The space is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and every employee I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. My bartender made excellent drinks and provided good service throughout my visit.
The reason for my lower rating is the billing process.
My check included an automatic 20% service charge, and there was also a 3% credit card surcharge. While businesses are free to have these policies, I believe customers should be made more aware of them before the bill arrives. Had I known about the credit card surcharge in advance, I would have chosen a different payment method.
Nothing about my experience with the staff was negative. My concern is simply transparency. These fees should be more clearly communicated on the menu, by the server, or before payment is processed so guests know exactly what to expect.
