Customers generally praise the exceptional, rich, authentic, and flavorful food, as well as the superb vibes, stunning interior, and breathtaking views of Beirut. However, common criticisms include the excessively large portions leading to significant food waste (with no take-away option) and overly fast service that can make guests feel rushed. Some reviews also mentioned issues with heating and a lack of effective accommodation for stated allergies. There was also a complaint about being turned away due to alleged fullness when the restaurant appeared to have available tables.
Em Sherif is a brand that encompasses multiple dining concepts, including the main 'Em Sherif Beirut' restaurant and 'Em Sherif Café'. The main restaurant offers four distinct dining experiences.
The restaurant is primarily highlighted for 'sunset & dinner' at its Warwick Palm Beach Hotel location, suggesting evenings are the ideal time to visit.

We had a reservation for a group of 14 people. The only negative point was the excessively fast service. We didn’t even have time to finish two bottles of wine, we barely finished eating and the waiters were already taking our plates away and asking about the next course, without giving us time to digest the food or even talk.
For a restaurant that requires reservations to be made days in advance, I don’t understand the reason for such a rush. In fact, there wasn’t even a waiting line at the time.
Other than that, I have no complaints, the place is nice and the food is good.
Em Sherif never disappoints, and its summer location at the Palm Beach Warwick Hotel is truly something special. With superb vibes and a breathtaking view over Beirut, it’s the perfect spot to savor the city in all its beauty. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, with a stunning interior that elevates the whole experience. And of course, the food remains as exceptional as ever…rich, authentic, and full of flavor. A place that captures the spirit of Beirut at its finest.
Usually i dont criticise but sadly this has gone too far that a place with such reputable name is actually misleading some people around! Everytime i pass by and ask for a table I get the same answer either "sorry we are full" or "You have to leave before 8 because reservations start"... the irony is not if they are working well or not (I wish everyone well) but I do pass by on my way after being seated in other reputable coffee shop/resturant where I am seriously welcomed after 8, and just have a glimps if they are actually full and what I see is not what they tell me! If this resturant does not want people to visit them then dont call yourself a "resturant" and maybe call it "Private club" it makes it much easier for people not to waste their time and ask for a table
Food tastes good. But honestly speaking, the set menu is definitely overserved. The quantity is way too much for the number of personas it served, I happen to over hear the next table commented the same. Fine restaurants need to be conscious about the food waste instead of showing off. Besides, this restaurant doesn’t allow take away. It even makes it worse
Everything was truly exceptional — from the delicious variety of dishes to the generous portions and elegant presentation. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive, professional, and well organized. Every detail felt thoughtfully prepared, making the evening feel special and memorable.
Definitely an iftar worth repeating
