Finally managed to dine at Cutler, been on my bucket list for a while now. Service and atmosphere absolutely blew us out of the park, particularly the back half of the inside of the restaurant, absolutely perfect for date night occasions. For the larger group of 8 we had, we were looked after very well, staff were always checking in with us with everything, etc.
Food is good but wasn’t outstanding like the service and atmosphere were. We ordered the Focaccia, Prosciutto + Fig, Tuna Crudo, Cutler Donuts, Crudités, and Calamari as starters, all were very solid. Loved the freshness of the ingredients, especially the tuna.
Mains included the dry aged duck, ribeye, lamb cutlets and burger, which were accompanied by fries, cabbage slaw, leaves, the baked pasta, and their sauce selection + mustards as sides. Duck was definitely the standout, others were great but the portion for the lamb was just not enough. 2 cutlets for $65…?
Desserts were their chocolate gateau and the meringue, both solid.
Still overall highly recommend, particularly for smaller and medium groups. Inside seats are very cozy and very fitting for these group numbers.
What a phenomenal place. The food was absolutely heavenly — the tuna starter was buttery, fresh, and so delicious. We did the “feed me” menu paired with some beautiful wines and cocktails, and every dish was incredible.
A special shoutout to our waiter of Asian descent (I’m so sorry I forgot his name) who made the experience even better with such warm and attentive service.
And the chocolate ganache cake… wow. A complete showstopper. I loved it so much that he kindly gave me a little sampler to take for the next day, and honestly, I’m still thinking about it.

I had a wonderful dining experience here today. The service was absolutely amazing — very attentive, warm, and welcoming from start to finish.
I would especially like to compliment Patrick. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for the excellent service — truly appreciated! I will definitely be coming back ❤️

The food was quite overrated and overpriced. We ordered the duck, but it was so fatty that we couldn’t even finish it. When we mentioned it to the staff, they told us that duck is meant to be fatty and suggested we takeaway. While we understand that duck naturally has fat, this dish was excessively fatty for our taste, and we were disappointed that no other solution was offered. The donuts were also underwhelming. On the positive side, the tartare was good, and the chocolate cake was delicious. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype, especially considering the price.

Personal Rating: 5*
Culter Donuts 5**
The sauce is Greek yogurt with salmon roe and chives.
A delicious donut – hot, crispy, and light. Paired with the sauce, it's a match made in heaven.
Pearl meat, abalone, shiitake skewers with butter and vinegar 4
Average. Couldn't really taste the abalone's freshness, and the portion was very small.
Wood grilled corner inlet calamari 5**
Thai sweet and sour sauce with a hint of spicy mayo. Tasty and appetizing, but not particularly memorable, and couldn't taste the pistachio.
Dry aged Muscovy duck 5**
Crispy skin with a sweet-salty flavor – very unique and enticing. The duck could be a bit more tender and juicy. The accompanying mulberries and onions were great for cutting through the richness.
King George whiting 5*
Somewhat like Chinese steamed fish in style. Personally found the fish's texture a bit average, but the sauce was quite good – a salty-sour preserved vegetable flavor that paired harmoniously with the fish.
Eye fillet with truffle spinach and foie gras red wine sauce 5**
The beef was tender, perfectly cooked, and not too salty. The sauce was well-balanced, and the foie gras paste was incredibly rich. Eating it with the meat and vegetables was exceptionally delicious.
Meringue 5*
Passion fruit tea-flavored ice cream with cream and pineapple meringue.
A delicate and tasty dessert. The ice cream had a memorable flavor without being too sweet. Crushing the meringue and mixing it in gave a sweet-sour pineapple taste.
Summary: While the food was creative and of good quality, it was very frustrating that our 8:15 booking wasn't seated until nearly 9:00. The restaurant was basically full, service was slow, and there was a clear shortage of staff while the kitchen was too small – completely overwhelmed. The meal ended up taking three and a half hours. Would not recommend visiting during peak hours; the service was disappointing.
Recommended: Duck, donut, calamari
