Easily the best restaurant in Cleveland. Their drink of the day was a key lime cocktail and was amazing. They had a sweet corn ice cream that was the best I’ve ever had. The pimento cheese was perfect. Service was super fast and friendly. Run, don’t walk here!
We went for the first time there and had Sunday Brunch. We had Japanese French Toast, Midwest Omlette and Dimmy Jeans.
The japanese french toast wasn't overly sweet at all and I've always wanted to try something like this. It paired great with the fruit. The maple syrup didn't have a strong maple taste at all.
The midwest omelette was very soft and then the smoke cheddar cheese taste hits and then the 'oh so tender' pork belly with the rich smoky taste. This omelette is top notch and one of the best I've ever had. If you like omelettes you need to try this.
The dimmy jeans was the star of the show. It was amazing how all the flavors worked together and I could have eaten two plates of this, maybe next time I will.
Everything was phenomenal and we ate every last crumb. I will be back for sure. I'm looking forward to the burger box but we intentionally ate the brunch only items while we were there. We may be spoiled by going to brunch the first time there, and we want to go back for dinner.
10/10 experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely incredible, and the service truly exceeded our expectations. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional.
We especially LOVED the shrimp toast and the burnt carrots You can really tell how much care goes into the menu.
And our bartender, Haylee, was more than words could describe. She guided us through the menu with such knowledge and enthusiasm, made the most amazing drinks, and genuinely made us feel like she was happy we were there. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it made our night even more special.
We will absolutely be recommending this place to everyone we know and cannot wait to come back to try more of the menu. Already looking forward to our next visit!
AND YES GET THE FRIED PIEROGI
My heart sank when I looked at the menu and it appeared there would be not very much for this fussy diner to eat. I'm gluten-free and I don't eat mammals. But with a little help from our waiter, Zach, We put together a great meal for me: an amazing local cheese with honey and fig substituting delicate salted crudities for the bread, "jammy eggs"(Masterfully seasoned boiled eggs but more delicate than what you think of when you think of an egg and served on a "jam" that was savory and sweet at the same time, sprig of Dill on the top... Yum! Then I had walleye From right here on the Great Lakes. The waiter said it would be served with the skin on. I assumed I would peel the fish off the skin but it turned out the crispy skin was the best part. It was served divorciado style but not just red and green sauce, chimichurri inspired by some latin country, i forget which, and a Costa Rican red sauce.
My husband, The omnivore, had the burger box with a slice of Ohio tomato. Both meals were designed to be shared but we didn't share very much! His looked and reportedly was delicious and very different from mine!
It is of note that while some of the plates and the napkins look like they could've come from Williams Sonoma, most were real silver and dishes that I would assume someone painstakingly collected up From yard sales and flea market. There is nothing like the feel of real silverware. Very tasteful.
My husband had a local dark beer and I had a glass of wine, but there was a whole page of whiskey selections if that's your jam.
The weather was nice and the restaurant was opened up to the outdoors by and oversized bifold window that was super cool
Great evening!
Just incredible - I did the tasting menu, “Bellie Up” I got a taste of the majority of not all the highlights. I highly recommend, if a group or three or less, to sit at the kitchen counter and watch the magic. You’ll get to chat with the chefs (if you want) and watch them do their thing - whether your food or others. Service was impeccable, nailing the balance between helpful/friendly and letting me enjoy my meal. The pierogi was the best I’ve ever had - and as a northeastern I’ve had MANY. The shrimp toast and carrots with labneh were other highlights. As was the burger - holy geez!! Smash burger heaven.
The Dirt Bowl dessert was a twist on the classic worth the visit. If you are in Cleveland, I can only recommend trying to make a reservation.
