I took my daughter and her friend to dinner here. The staff were delightful, the food delicious. And the cocktails were some of the finest I have ever tasted. Out table was spacious and cosy. Service was friendly and prompt but nothing was rushed. This place hires great staff. Do try the chicken liver mouse starter. It was surprisingly light and creamy. Could have eaten it all night. Except we were glad we had room for the linguine that came next. Thank you for a joyful evening. We will be coming back.
I had been a few times at the former location and unfortunately the move to the new place didn't help fix any of the wee issues I found with this restaurant during past visits. There seems to be a lot of style without substance going on with their menu, which makes pretty much every dish quite disappointing. Fancy stack of potatoes that allegedly took hours to cook? Ends up just tasting oily and boring, not the life-changing dish that was advertised. Parpadelle with an enticing ragú description? Tastes of little more than just warm onion, rendering the very nicely made pasta kind of useless and tiring to eat. It feels like the chef had some skills and ideas to begin with, but hasn't tasted any of their end products properly. Even their renowned affogato, which until they moved out of Cathedral House made the trip worth it, has now been reduced to a sad, sour shadow of its former self. The cocktails are still interesting and the wait staff is always very nice and polite, but even there it feels like some serious improvements in management are needed. For the location, setting and advertised venue type, there is only one word to sum it up once the bill's been settled (automatically added service charge included) - underwhelming.

The food was just meh! For the hype it’s been getting and the articles written about it- I do not get it at all!
£24 for a plate of a pasta when it’s not even up to par- glad we got the two smaller plates!
I do not recommend
