Do yourself a favor and get to Cafe Lolo as soon as possible! Stopped in last weekend to check out the pastry case and the sonoran wheat buns looked too good to pass up, so we tried both the savory (rutabaga, kale, pecans) and the sweet (tahini with apple butter). Both were amazing. So we headed back to try brunch this weekend. Everything was so delicious. The beans on black bread, buckwheat blintzes, and einkorn cortados were the big standouts this time. Can't wait to try more of the menu!
Well balanced flavors with unique ingredients and combinations, and just deeply satisfying dishes. Plus a lovely atmosphere and very friendly, attentive service. 😍
Café Lolo has been on my list since I started following the chefs a while back. Both came up through James Beard award-winning kitchens and some of the best bakeries in Seattle before going out on their own with local market pop-ups. They make seasonal, locally sourced, and genuinely delicious food – slow food certified! Was very excited to try their brick and mortar, full restaurant experience.
I've gone for both lunch and dinner and had a great experience both times. Tried a variety of pastas and appetizers and it was hard to pick a favorite. Food is super flavorful but still feels light and healthy. The drinks are creative and fun, the type you will have never seen on a menu before.
The space is cozy and historic, the walls are painted with a hundred-year-old Russian murals. The staff was very kid friendly, we brought our 3 month old baby both times and they were accommodating.
They also do grab-and-go pasta dishes that you can easily make at home. Looking forward to trying Cafe Lolo again in the summer!
LOVE THIS PLACE. A little golden whole food magic happening at the New Cafe Lolo at 806 Roy Street in the Loveless Building. We did brunch today & the food was ultra comforting + beautifully thoughtful (and nicely priced). THE ROOM, food & crew - wow.
Whole grains, ferments, savory sauces - with full coffee & some low abv cocktails. Cozy cafe by day - bustling golden room for dinner.... plus a great grab & go with pickles, pasta kits, sauces & wine.
Cafe Lolo is the latest caretaker of the glorious 1930 Vladimir Shkurkin murals in the space. Truly a jewel box.
Honestly my favorite place in seattle right now.
Atmosphere: the staff are so kind and welcoming, you can tell they love working there. But there’s this ease and comfort of the place that makes you forget you’re at an incredible restaurant. The feat the staff pulls off to make it such a fantastic experience while also working so hard could be the whole review itself! It is a gorgeous space that is warm and comfortable. No spot I’ve sat here feels like the “bad table” that no one wants. You can tell the space was curated with care.
Food: was absolutely outstanding. Fun flavors that made me feel like I was having a completely new experience with every dish. Paired with our server, Leah, it was incredibly approachable and felt like I was in their own home being served dinner by my own family. Every dish felt different from the last but continued a story that only Cafe Lolo can tell.
The physical dishes for the food are hand made and added to the uniqueness of the space. Every restaurant nowadays are the same cookie cutter spot trying to do something that’s already been done. Lolo is unapologetically itself in color, taste and hospitality. It is exciting and so special to be there, I was thrilled the entire experience.
I was so excited to bring my out of town friend to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. If you have not been here, you are missing out.
There is an art to food/hospitality that Lolo paints in colors that are made from hard work, love, and a respect of the craft that I have not experienced in a long time. Cafe Lolo continues to show the food world that excellent food is still alive and breathing in Seattle. Hats off to the team.
This rating is purely based on food and price. The staff was so welcoming and nice. The atmosphere was relaxing, with unique lamps and wall art. I love the dark wood interior. But the food was so bland ??? I feel insane and like the other reviews are gaslighting me. The portions are small and lack flavor. And for these prices I can get way better food at other spots. I was so excited to try this new place but me and my partner were so disappointed.
