I had the Porchetta and, like most excellent delis, the bread is what really shined. The sandwiches are large, so expect to eat about half or less for lunch and take the rest home for dinner.
Cute panetteria tucked in a north end alley. Bakers and big bags of flour visible right when you step in - thats how you know it’s legit! Got a prosciutto and parm baguette, lots of goodies sprinkled throughout. Sfogliatella was a little hard, but once you get used to the texture, the flakes and filling combine very well.
How does this place have only 4.5 stars???
Every aspect was 5+ star !
We were led here by a tour guide.
Honestly, I dont know how you'd just happen to find it. Located down a little alley then down a flight of stairs, this gem is tucked away!
Once inside, you'll be taken by the breads and pastries. Everyone was talking a Boston Itialian, it was fantastic!
Go out of your way to find this place, its worth it!
A must visit in the North End area. Nice shop off the road in a beautiful, though easy to miss, alley and into a basement where magic happens. We tried that Focaccia bread and Sfogliatella. Sfogliatella was great - crispy outside and soft tasty filling. Focaccia was great as well. Enjoyed both.
They are cash only, so make sure to keep some if you’re buying something from here.
Definitely visit.
Bricco Panetteria is a true hidden gem. I’ve walked by it countless times without noticing, tucked away in an alley off Hanover Street. Today we followed the sign and found a small spot serving pizza al taglio—thin, focaccia-style pizza by the slice. We tried the zucchini and mozzarella, perfectly warmed and folded to eat on the go—fresh, light, and delicious. The breads looked amazing too, so I’ll be back for a loaf. Cash only and no tables—just great grab-and-go food.
