I celebrated my 30th birthday at Bouquet this year, and if you’ve turned 30, you know it can feel like a pretty daunting milestone. The Bouquet team made the entire experience feel effortless. They were communicative and game for anything, helping me coordinate everything from setup and decorations to pre-ordering a menu for 30 people. They even indulged one of my more niche requests, playing Twilight on the projector as an ode to my 13 year old self, and pulled together a last minute surprise cake from my friends. I still think about the whipped cream. Truly a girl's 30th birthday dream. What makes Bouquet special goes beyond hosting a great event. It's the kind of place people mean when they invoke the neighborhood "third space” - an extension of your own living room. It's New York at its best: dynamic, welcoming, honest, and unpretentious. They regularly host pop-ups with local businesses, and every visit feels like an opportunity to connect with the neighborhood. Chef Harold is constantly refining the menu and genuinely welcomes feedback - dare I say he's the heart of the place ❤️ In a rapidly changing Greenpoint, small businesses like Bouquet give a neighborhood its character. I'm endlessly grateful to Eric, Chef, and the whole team for making such a meaningful milestone, and all the little mundane moments in between, feel so special 💐
