Boshamps Seafood & Oyster House

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Boshamps was hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area! Our waitress, Hannah, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, took the time to explain the restaurant’s signature dishes, and made our experience even more enjoyable. Hannah shared that Boshamps was awarded the second-best restaurant in the United States, and after eating here, I can absolutely understand why. My two favorite dishes were the Original Snapper Destin and the Shrimp & Grits. Both were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The snapper was fresh and perfectly cooked, while the shrimp and grits were rich, creamy, and unforgettable. To top it all off, we ordered the Butter Pecan Cheesecake, and it was, without question, the best cheesecake I have ever had. It was rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and the perfect ending to an incredible meal. The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional. Boshamps absolutely lives up to its reputation. If you’re visiting Destin or Fort Walton Beach, this restaurant is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have Hannah as our waitress again!

By far the best complete seafood meal we had this trip. The fish was seasoned great and the sides were amazing! I highly recommend the grits and Mac & cheese as sides! The Destin Emerald Coast Lager was a pretty good local beer.

Came here based on a friend’s recommendation and had a great experience overall. Managed to snag a couple of seats at the indoor bar and avoided the long wait. Service was excellent and food was delicious. The mix of flavors for the grouper dish was phenomenal. (A bit of the grouper was undercooked or I’d have rated the food as 5. They did apologize and offer to make me a new one. I was just about full and didn’t want it to go to waste, but we did appreciate dessert on the house.) The cheesecake was amazing! Definitely would recommend!

Boshamps is always a great choice for fresh seafood in Destin! The waterfront setting on the harbor gives it such a fun, relaxed coastal atmosphere. I ordered The Original Snapper Destin, one of their signature dishes, and it was excellent. The fresh Gulf snapper paired with jumbo lump crab and Gulf shrimp was delicious, and the lemon butter and béarnaise really brought everything together. The smashed red potatoes and bacon-braised collards were the perfect Southern-style sides. It’s a rich, flavorful dish and definitely one I would order again. I also had a piña colada, which was refreshing and perfect with the waterfront atmosphere. Great seafood, beautiful harbor views, and a true Destin experience. Definitely a place I recommend to visitors looking for an excellent local seafood dinner!
