We visited for the lunch tasting menu and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
What makes Blue Hill at Stone Barns so special is how thoughtfully every ingredient is presented. The meal highlighted the season and the farm’s harvest in a way that felt both creative and approachable. Even the simplest vegetables were transformed into memorable dishes, showcasing incredible technique and respect for the ingredients.
The setting is beautiful, and being surrounded by the farm adds a deeper appreciation for what arrives on the table. The service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever feeling formal.
More than just a meal, it felt like an experience that connects food, farming, and sustainability. A truly memorable lunch and well worth the visit.
The most wonderful fine dining experience, we loved our dinner at Blue Hill. The tour of the farm was definitely an added bonus and a must-do if you’re making the trek up. The vegetables were so fresh, the service was impeccable, and the grounds were so so beautiful. All of the staff were so passionate about food, it was an inspiring experience.
Bonus, the bakery has the best corn scallion scones!
Had dinner in the cafeteia side. The dishes were interesting and flavorful but to be honest, for the price (about $200/person including drinks and mandatory 20% tip when you make the reservation), it wasnt worth it. Most of the dishes ingredients were plucked straight from their greenhouse so the cost is minimal. The lamb was very good. Service was no doubt attentive and the servers were very pleasant. Waited about 20 mins for our mains. Astonished to see how many staff were on hand. I counted about 15 staff for about 30 guests. Definitely a high margin business being run here.
It was an interesting experience, one worth going to, but was a little put off by the high prices for what was offered. Overall a good experience but hugely overpriced.
Came here for lunch (before committing for dinner) and the hard-to-get reservation is 100% worth it. This place is absolutely beautiful.
Set on a farm with their own animals, greenhouse, and acres of beautiful land with most of the meal sourcing ingredients from the grounds.
The food itself is delicious. The staff walked us through how each dish was sourced and how it was made (it changes based on what is seasonal and in stock). I loved every dish and, as cliche as it may sound, you really can taste the freshness.
On a hot summer day, we took the lunch and sat in the shaded canopy area surrounded by the most beautiful, pollinator friendly garden with bumble bees, huge gorgeous monarch butterflies, and birds flittering around us.
Overall, I was incredibly impressed and it largely went above and beyond my expectations. I will be aiming to get that coveted dinner reso!
One of the best restaurants around for fresh made to order food directly from their farm. The cafe is a terrific place to get lunch and a taste of what they have to offer for the day. The grounds and farm are beautiful place to still to observe how the grow their food.
