Top notch. A simple, stripped-back menu executed to perfection, with every dish flawless.
A special mention has to go to the front-of-house team. They made us feel incredibly welcome despite us having a not-so-easy two-year-old in tow, and even offered us a complimentary cherry sorbet when my wife mentioned she’d like to try it.
I hope the front-of-house staff are recognised for their efforts—their hospitality was exemplary. I’m not surprised given it’s an Adam Byatt restaurant, but the entire experience, from the food to the service, exceeded our expectations. We had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
We enjoyed a fabulous family meal here. Attentive service without being intrusive. All our food for 6 of us was delicious and served timely. Really good non-alcoholic cocktails, refreshing without being overly sweet. Three courses for all of us, plus a couple of extra mini plates (radish and roe was my favourite) as well as drinks and service charge was just under £50 a head. The sirloin roast beef was meltingly tender, perfectly cooked. We could also hear ourselves talk without music being a barrier! All staff were lovely and they bought out a petit four cupcake with candle when they heard there were birthdays! Perfect place enjoyed by all! Thank you to all involved 🤗

Came here for a Father’s Day lunch with my daughter. To start, we had the prawn cocktail with a giant king prawn and lots of juicy, intensely flavoured prawns on guacamole and salad to start. This was followed by Mac & Cheese and possibly the best Sunday roast I have ever had with amazing sirloin meat, extra thick crust yet moist on the inside potatoes, the first Yorkshire pudding I have ever actually enjoyed (the menu has an option to get two, which is “a thing”) and creamy horse radish sauce and salad to complement. For dessert we had an intensely tasty sticky toffee pudding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back here. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at Bistro Union. Our first visit to this neighbourhood eatery was for ‘Sunday Supper Club’. The menu was fixed which was just fine as all of the food offered was beautifully done. not pictured is the lamb neck and salad which was super tasty. Service was friendly and relaxed. Will definitely be back for eegular menu items in future.

I dined at this restaurant tonight and had a fantastic experience. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere made it perfect for a relaxing meal. We had the five-course meal, and the portions were surprisingly large, much more generous than at most places. Every dish was delicious, and the flavours truly impressed us. The service was excellent, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
