All'Antico Vinaio

It’s a bit overhyped, and not very delicious sandwich. It’s not those kinds where it’s heated up to warm, you just eat it cold. While we got here when the queue wasn’t long, the queue got up to about 20+ people shortly after. We have to translate the menu to English, but I wasn’t too sure about the taste. For about 10-12 Euros, the sandwich is very big and there is a lot of meat, and the service was good, preparing the food quick. However, it can be a bit messy to eat, and the taste isn’t as good compared to sandwiches with cooked meats.

This place is just take out. There was a line but it didn’t take too long. This shop is close to the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze where they have the statue of David. We got the Italian and Summer. The Italian is very good. I wish I could’ve eaten this again. There is another location at the train station, but I don’t know if it’s the same quality. Here I saw them bringing out stacks of bread. The bread was very crunchy. It does cut up the roof of your mouth though. For €8-€12 a sandwich, the sandwich is a good size.

The sandwich was nice and fresh, but it’s honestly not worth the hype. The bread and ingredients were high quality, and we got lucky visiting on a Monday afternoon since there was no queue. However, there’s no proper place to sit and eat. Having to eat it in the middle of the street ruined the experience a bit. Still, if you want to try it for yourself, go for it!

All ingredients are fresh and so delicious. You can pick from their ready sandwich combinations or make your own. The size of sandwich is big enough it can even be enough for two people. Make sure to try their mortadella and pistachio cream 😋
