Sertaç Dirik, recognized as one of London's most acclaimed chefs, is poised to launch his highly anticipated first standalone restaurant, 'Kid,' in Soho this September (2024). Dirik, who departed his family's renowned ocakbaşı, Mangal II, in 2023, is embarking on this new venture in collaboration with prominent restaurateur David Carter, known for his successful establishments Oma, Agora, and Smokestak. Located at 55 Frith Street, Kid will draw profound inspiration from Dirik's Turkish heritage, specifically focusing on the central Anatolian cuisine he was raised on.
