I’ve dined at many Michelin starred restaurants around the world, and Vero genuinely impressed me more than many of them. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant, and the service was warm and genuine. There was no pretension just outstanding food and hospitality. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had the privilege of dining at Vero for our wedding anniversary, which also happens to be our honeymoon, and we had an extraordinary experience. From the exceptional service provided by Justin to the flawless execution by Chef Carmine and his entire team, every detail was thoughtful and memorable. My wife and I have been fortunate enough to enjoy some truly exquisite meals over the years, and I’m happy to say this one is right up there with the very best for us. We’ll absolutely be making our way back to Venice and will gladly follow Chef Carmine and his team wherever they go next. Thank you again for such a special evening and memory for us both.

This was easily our best meal in Venice. The food was exceptional and the service top notch. The chef is clearly very talented, and went out of his way to accommodate my vegetarian dietary preferences and delivered with flavour. Each course was delicious, with superb wine pairings. For me the highlight was the white truffle tagliolini and the homemade bread selection

I really wanted to love this place but now I understand the generally mixed reviews. The service is great (attentive and probably 1 Michelin Star caliber) but the food is a bit mixed. I had the 5 course seafood focused tasting menu because 7 has to be (understandably) started before 9pm. The shrimp was the best of the tasting. Eel so so and felt maybe out of place. The pasta was inventive (interpretation of carbonara) but maybe not the best (this is Italy after all). The “main” of sea bass was the most disappointing - tasted good but was a bit overcooked and not what I would expect at this price point and presumed caliber. Same with the dessert - inventive and unique but maybe not to everyone’s palate. Most concerning was my bill came out incorrect with additional drinks (maybe from another table but this is unclear) and a much higher total than it should be had I not checked it carefully - this to me is totally unacceptable for a high end restaurant of this caliber and one linked to a hotel. So with some work, this could be a great place but it’s not there yet unfortunately.
