Was craving some really good Southern Thai food and found this little gem away from the hustle and bustle of Krabi. Ton Ma Yom Thaifood did not disappoint!😍
I ordered the whole steamed fish with soy sauce and ginger, plus green papaya salad with crispy fish. Everything was so delicious, fresh, and full of flavor! The crispy fish with the papaya salad was especially yummy.🤤
The best part? Really good food at very reasonable prices. If you’re visiting Krabi and want to get away from the touristy spots, definitely give this place a try. Highly recommended!😏
Our tour guide today recommended this cozy homemade Thai food. Tastes like someone’s grandma made it! I ordered the vegetarian tom yum soup and it was exquisite with amazing aromatic herbs (ginger, bamboo shoots, lime leaf). My friend ordered the garlic chicken, and said it was not greasy and very garlicky and delicious. We ordered a pineapple fried rice to share and a size small was more than enough. We ended the night with an authentic Thai dessert of taro and coconut milk.
Everything we ate here was great, but highly recommend their steamed seabass with lemon and their tom yum soup. Too often some tom yum soup taste like mala sauce which is too spicy, but their tom yum soup was rich and flavorful. Plus their staff were all so friendly and nice. It seemed like a nice family business. Will definitely return!
Best food in Krabi so far, hands down. Recommended by KT8 hotel owner (who is amazing). After craving real-Thai spicy, we finally found it at Ton Ma Yom. Delicious flavors and better vibes. Great sunset.
I've read all the rave reviews for here and there walked 4kms to get here. Being a foody couldn't wait.
Plenty of choice of traditional Thai and trust me the flavour where on point and I did enjoy my time in the busy little place slightly off the busy main streets of Aonang. I ordered the crispy deep fried beef for starter which was nice but overcooked and chewy... Then the seafood Tom Yum sauce (medium spicy number 2 (out of 3)) with crab fried rice. Again really delicious but squid was chewy and seafood over cooked, so had to mark down. Nice little drop in off the bust streets of Aonang.
