Went to Temple Nightclub to casually celebrate something and overall had a really good experience. There’s a $20 cover, which felt pretty standard for a downtown San Francisco club. Drinks and bottle service are definitely on the pricier side, but honestly that’s expected given the location.
The club itself is a bit smaller than I anticipated, but it’s really nice, modern, and well-designed. The atmosphere still feels lively and upscale despite the size. What stood out the most was the service, the staff were attentive and friendly, which made the night even better.
Also worth mentioning, the washrooms were clean, which is always a plus in a nightclub.
Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for a fun night out downtown, just be prepared to spend a bit more.
It's OK the music could be better. The dark skin security guard female was the best. She's so understanding and outgoing. I love her personality. She talks to me with respect. She's amazing. 💯
This was my first time going to this club and safe to say it will be my last. I can see why they almost shutdown last year.
We got invited to go to this club by a promoter I work with. He told us to check in by saying his name at the box office and then he would meet us in the front and lead us to his table where we would be getting free drinks later. When we arrived, we asked a lady sitting in front at the door where to check in for our promoters list. I guess it was the table line and the lady said check in at the box office, you don’t have a table in a super rude tone. Like what!? No need to be rude. We didn’t know where to check in. lol and the funniest part was as soon as we checked in, our promoter led us to the table and she saw the whole thing happen LMAO.
Once inside, it was pretty empty. And the crowd inside was weird. 40 year old couples, creepy older men hitting on girls in their 20s, completely random and weird crowd. It was also so hot inside and as I read in previous reviews before this club never turns on their AC which ruins the mood for everyone because everyone is drenched in sweat.
Places like this are why people think SF has bad nightlife.
The club itself was great, we had a good time, but I have to say that the bouncer the night we went was actually atrocious. He individually beefed with every person who went through the line, and I overheard multiple encounters in which he insulted people for their looks, names, etc., even while they were well-behaved. It felt as though everyone was his personal punching bag for the night, and it was beyond disrespectful and unprofessional.
Temple's current staff is fantastic! Big thank you to George & Carlos for taking care of the mamas at the GoldFish concert. So impressed & definitely recommend bottle service for a crew. Main floor has cool LED screens everywhere - was awesome to look up at the ceiling & see a stream of the DJs on their decks for part of the show. Cool lights, confetti, & smoke for the ultimate dance party. Been going here for 10+ yrs & seen the various remodels. Glad to see this venue is invested in a great staff, good sound system, & killer lineup. Keep it up! Oh & the cherry on top, their bathrooms & the dance floor were well kept and cleaned all night.
