This review is long overdue. I've wanted to write it for months, but I wanted to do justice to a restaurant that has become such a special part of our lives.
J-Yay Organic Vegetables is our go-to Thai restaurant, and we've been dining there regularly for the past 11 months. In fact, it's one of the reasons we don't want to move away from our neighborhood!
What makes this place truly special is that the chef is happy to accommodate individual preferences. I usually request less oil, no mushrooms, and extra broccoli, and every dish is prepared exactly as requested. The food is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with care.
Some of my favorites are the Panang Curry and Pumpkin with Egg, but honestly, we've enjoyed many dishes on the menu. Everything tastes homemade, nourishing, and full of flavor. I always feel so good after eating here.
Considering the quality of the ingredients, the care in preparation, and how delicious the food is, the prices are remarkably reasonable.
The chef speaks excellent English, making communication easy, and the staff are always warm, friendly, and welcoming.
We are so grateful that we found this restaurant. It has become a regular part of our lives, and we look forward to every visit. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would gladly give 10.
Thank you for all the wonderful meals!
We heard about this place from several vegetarian sites so went there to try their dishes. We ordered pad Thai, yellow curry with vegetables and tofu, and fried kale and tofu. We had rice with the two latter dishes for an extra ten baht. The pad Thai was perfect and not too much sweetness and was well balanced. It was one of the best pad Thais we’ve had. The yellow curry was exceptional and had great flavors and lots of vegetables as well as tofu. It was my favorite although the kale dish was great as well as the vegetables were perfectly crisp and very delicious. We highly recommend this place. Service was good although it was a bit smoky with their char coal burner but I asked them to turn on the fan and that did the trick.
Healthy and delicious option compared to nearby restaurants. The food is lighter, less oily, and very flavorful. I especially like that they use more vegetables, which makes it feel like a place I could happily come back to every day.
Most importantly, their takeaway boxes are made of paper instead of plastic — the only restaurant on this street doing so. Truly worth supporting!
One of my favorite places to eat in Nimman. You can tell they are clean by the way they devein the shrimp. The meat and vegetables all taste fresh. The food is never greasy. After eating you feel good. This family business takes good care of their customers. Many locals eat here.
