Southern Art

My girlfriend and I, and another couple went to Southern Artisan Spirits for the first time on a busy Friday night. We sat outside and enjoyed live music. I felt like drinking gin, so I started off with a Southern Garden. It was very refreshing. I also had a Blackberry Basil Smash and a Pain Killer. All the drinks were fabulous. For appetizers, we shared the Crispy Brussels, Jumbo Smoked Wings, and the Bang Bang Shrimp. They were all so good. For dinner, I had the Yardbird. The chicken was delicious. Our server, McKenzie provided exceptional service and she made some great recommendations. If you are looking for a place with awesome food and craft cocktails, you need to come to Southern Artisan Spirits.

I will give them a 4.5 star review. Atmosphere was neat. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had a good view of the distillery from the bar. We really went for the food and not beer, etc. They have a huge selection of whatever you can think of to drink, alcohol wise so if you like premium spirits, wine and craft beer, this is your place. I had a Orchard Reserve salad which was ok. The Burrata cheese on top wasn't my favorite. I think I'll go with a Caesar salad next time. My daughter and I had the 10 oz petit filets which were cooked to our specifications and super tender. My only complaint is they charge $6 for Bleu cheese as a topping and we had a small dollop of it on the steaks. French fries are fresh, cut up by staff and are some of the best I have eaten. I could just gorge on their fries. My husband had the $1 wings (you have to purchase in 6 increments at a time). They are only $1 each on Thursday evenings. They were pretty good sized and had a smokey flavor. My husband really enjoyed them. They are a bit pricey but that was expected. They have live bands in the spring according to the manager usually starting in late March. Customer service was nice as we didn't feel rushed and was able to hang out without someone coming over every 2 minutes. We will definitely make the 5 minute trip back out there to try other menu items and to listen to live music. Fun Fact: One of the chefs (maybe owner) was on the show "Chopped".

Sooo - Mother’s Day. We expected a wait. Got there at 11:30 & was told it was 45 mins. We decided to come back after the rush & made a reservation for 1pm. Came back, got seated pretty quickly … & didn’t get our food until 3pm. We have been here several times. Love the food, & the service is typically spot on. They CLEARLY were not prepared for an event of this magnitude. My two cents: REQUIRE a reservation so that you can more accurately access your headcount. Having large groups walk in is a disaster waiting to happen. Supremely disappointed with today’s experience. I feel sorry for the wait staff - the kitchen clearly let them down. I also had some extra “fiber” (aka paper) in my waffle. The manager took that off our ticket. I’ve never eaten so fast … waiting 4 hours to eat & having had the dogs kenneled since 11 … we needed to get home. We’ll be back … just not on a “holiday” day. What a bummer.

What a gem. The food is spectacular. You can get a high end american Wagyu steak or some good ole smoked bologna bites. The craft drinks are very good and priced great compared to other establishments offering craft cocktails....... and the view is one of a kind for this area. Out bartender was Renee and she was on point all evening with nice conversation and great recommendations. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough good things about Southern Artisan Spirits! I've eaten here multiple times, and every experience has been outstanding. For dinner, I had the short ribs, and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. This morning, I came back for breakfast and had the shrimp and grits, and they were just as amazing! The restaurant has grown so much over the past month. The kitchen is phenomenal, and the improvement has really shown. I never wait more than about 15 minutes for my food, even when they're busy. I also have to give a huge shoutout to my server, Mckenzie. I've had every server that works here, and Mckenzie has been the best by far. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure every guest has an incredible experience. Her service is truly exceptional, and she always makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. If there were an option to give more than five stars, she would absolutely deserve it. Amazing food, fast service, and the best hospitality around. I highly recommend Southern Artisan Spirits!
