I came here since I was a little girl and this is still my favorite restaurant in my home town. I would do anything just to eat here again. I haven’t been in around 6 months due to a tragic situation in my life and all I want to do is have the chips and salsa, my rootbeer, and the nachos or the chile verde or burger and fries ☺️😉. Everything I ever ate here was so yummy, fresh, hot, and homey. Don’t even get me started on the best and most nicest and welcoming staff. Everyone was just like family, I miss them all and still think about them often, they really will make you feel just at home but even better. Love this place more than anywhere I’ve ate before and I love food. Miss you guys so much. I hope I can come for my birthday in December. Also the absolute most yummy salsa I’ve ever had, I crave it all the time. 😭😭😭😭
After hearing about Sal’s from many people, I finally gave them a try!
I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered half and half fajitas and they were great. (Only came with two tortillas though)
My friend raves about and ordered the enchiladas. I gave them a try and was surprised at how delicious they were. I regret not ordering them because “I can make my own enchilada sauce at home”, but these were delicious and the next time I go I’ll be ordering them for sure!
The staff was VERY attentive. Like to the point towards the end it was a little annoying, but honestly it was great and I didn’t mind that much because they weren’t overbearing, just checking in.
The fried ice cream was very sad though. It wasn’t freshly fried and you could tell they just grabbed it out of the freezer :(.
During a business trip to Madera, we discovered a noteworthy restaurant and decided to dine there. The service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend a visit; you would be missing out otherwise. Furthermore, I suggest reviewing its history; its origins are quite compelling.

The service is always wonderful and the food always delicious. Everything here is delicious but I definitely recommend the custom burrito with the carne con chile and your choice of sides and the Enchiladas suizas.
They had good pricing for the account of food. Great selections available. I love the combination plate being able to try different foods. The quesadilla and rice was flavorful. Salsa was nice and spicy. The taco was blander. Tamale has a nice sauce. Service was quick and consistent. No long wait.
