What an incredible time we had at Nicolas-Jay — truly one of our favorite vineyard experiences in Oregon. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, intimate, and incredibly thoughtfully curated. The setting is absolutely stunning, but what made the experience so special was how personal and welcoming it felt. It never felt rushed or commercial — instead, it felt like being invited into someone’s home to share their passion and craft.
The team was exceptionally knowledgeable and made every tasting so engaging. You could genuinely feel their love for the wines, the vineyard, and the winemaking process in every conversation. They took the time to explain the details behind each pour, the history, the terroir, and what makes Nicolas-Jay so unique, which made us appreciate every glass even more.
The wines themselves were outstanding — elegant, balanced, and memorable — but the overall atmosphere is what really stayed with us. Relaxing, intimate, beautiful, and authentic in every way. We also loved exploring the stores and property, which added even more charm to the visit. Every detail felt intentional and elevated without ever feeling pretentious.
An unforgettable experience from start to finish, and a place we’ll absolutely return to again and again.

From the tasting table to the grounds, our experience at Nicholas-Jay was outstanding. Rob was a terrific host whose knowledge and demeanor were warm and welcoming. Jake and Ryan also chimed into conversation and made observations that added to the experience. The outside deck is peaceful and added the relaxing atmosphere further adding to the taste of each selection. Then there is the wine! We tried almost every Pinot on the menu - as well as a number of others. Not only were they delicious, but it assured us that we would not leave empty handed. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and we will see you again!!

We had a wonderful tasting experience at Nicolas-Jay. Ryan, who guided us through the wines, was absolutely delightful — knowledgeable, warm, and passionate. The whole team was welcoming and professional, and the tasting itself was generous, detailed, and truly memorable. The wines are outstanding, with a level of elegance and complexity that could rival some of the best from Burgundy. A must-visit in Oregon!

What an unforgettable experience at Nicolas-Jay in the beautiful Willamette Valley! Ryan and Rob went above and beyond to make our tasting both educational and incredibly fun. Their passion and knowledge truly shine through in every pour, and it was such a treat to learn about the winemaking process from them. The wines were absolutely exceptional—each one telling its own story.
We left not only with some amazing bottles but also with a newfound appreciation for the craft. We’re so grateful for the warm hospitality and can’t wait to continue our journey as members. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to experience the best of Oregon wine!
