Nia Bakery Cartagena

Saying goodbye to Cartagena was a little sad, but it was quickly replaced by a lovely brunch at Nia. The Caprese sandwich was absolutely delightful. My partner enjoyed a Croissant with Chorizo—an irresistibly fresh, buttery treat. The drinks were fantastic, and the staff was incredibly professional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made our experience even more enjoyable.

We went to Nia bakery this morning for brunch around 10am. It was relatively busy and we were a large group with six people, but we were willing to wait. The hostess initially sat us at 3 separate tables, so we wouldn’t have to wait around (appreciated). However, we were sat separately for OVER an hour. They took our drink orders but did not take our food orders or seat us together for over an hour. There were multiple groups that came in after us that were seated and received their food within that hour. If we knew it was going to take this long, we would’ve been fine sitting separately and ordering food to get it on time. I feel that they forgot about us. Eventually they just ended up combining 3 tables together to sit us together, even though there was a large table open outside. They also seated another large group before us, also noticed that they seated multiple smaller groups (2-3) in tables meant for larger groups. Food was mediocre, quite expensive. Coffees were delicious and the ginger cinnamon bun was also great! Overall, it is a nice ambience and in the heart of the old city, but the service could be better.

Nía Bakery Coffee Shop & Cocktails is a lovely spot with a warm atmosphere and great attention to detail. The pastries were fresh and delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the service was friendly throughout my visit. What I especially enjoyed was the combination of a cozy bakery vibe during the day and a relaxed cocktail setting later on. Everything felt thoughtfully curated, from the presentation of the food to the ambiance of the space. A great place to enjoy breakfast, coffee with friends, or simply spend a relaxing afternoon. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena.
