This casual Caribbean eatery, identified as 'New Shefayim restaurant (unnamed)' at the given address, is located in the Bronx, New York. It primarily operates as a takeout spot, though it offers some sit-in options, and is known for its quick service.
Customer feedback is mixed. Many praise the food for its flavor and freshness, with jerk chicken, mac and cheese, and plantains often highlighted positively. However, some reviewers have expressed dissatisfaction with specific dishes, noting rasta pasta as too sweet or undercooked, and curry goat as excessively greasy. The service has been described as fast-paced, with some customers feeling rushed during the ordering process.
Despite the name 'Shefayim' which typically refers to a location in Israel, the restaurant at this Bronx address serves Caribbean cuisine, as evidenced by customer reviews.
No specific peak times are mentioned, but given the fast-paced service and takeout nature, visiting during off-peak hours might allow for a more relaxed ordering experience.
