Stopped here for breakfast and a pastry. I had the walnut, honey, goat cheese tartine with a side salad. It tasted fresh and delicious! I also ordered a Cravate pastry and it was fantastic! Sweet, flaky, and light. Also friendly and fast service.
Note: You order at the counter and seat yourself. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I found the ordering process easy and fast, it was ideal because I was in a time-crunch.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and really great value! Croque monsieur was the best we’ve ever had, and the pastry was incredible, all very authentic. We are visiting from Chicago and were amazed that we got 3 full plates, a pain au chocolat, two huge coffees all for $60!
What a great new addition to Walnut Street! The apricot galette was the best pastry I've had in Boulder in many years. They lost a star for service as they served my cappuccino in a less than clean mug. I thought a coffee mug was a odd choice for serving a cappuccino. I wonder if they ran out of proper cups. The scrambled eggs were excellent though probably a bit too wet for most American palettes. They served the eggs with a salad and toast, but interestingly enough did not provide any butter. I think this place will have a line out the door in a few months, just based on the quality of the pastries alone. The ambiance was spacious, clean and well lit. The outdoor seating is west facing, which doesn't get any morning light, which is not ideal for a morning spot. Though come midsummer when it's hot in Boulder, it will be perfect.
EXCELLENT ✅️
What a delightful and inviting little place. Delicious selections and welcoming service.
We had the salmon croissant and the apricot tart. Both were flavorful and yet comfortably subtle. Pricing was about what I expected. Location is convenient for the hotel folks who want something different. Just a block from the library as well.
Longterm success will come from keeping an above average staff and the wonderful upscale quality we enjoyed. I hope they do !!
Delightful cafe with lovely pastries, delicious coffee, and a beautiful view from the shaded patio. I'll definitely be back to try the breakfast and lunch offerings!
