Amazing atmosphere and super cute tiki bar here in Charlotte. I didn’t even know this existed, but I’m so glad we came. Definitely coming back. Lovely bartender. The drinks are served in super cool glasses, and they play tropical tiki vibe music. Definitely a fun spot with friends or a cute date night. Little bit expensive so prepare for that but worth it!

This place is pretty cool. The bartender Cola is such a sweetheart, very friendly & personable. She knows how to engage with patrons & make them feel welcomed. They have a great assortment of cocktails & the vibes are chill.

Royal Tot absolutely delivered. The atmosphere, the energy, and the drinks were all on point, but the real standout was the bartender, Cola. She made me a drink called the Mango Tango Foxtrot, and honestly it was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. Perfect balance, smooth, refreshing, and dangerously good. You can tell she actually knows her craft and takes pride in what she makes. Great service is hard to find, but Cola made the experience feel personal and memorable. If you stop by Royal Tot, ask for her drink recommendations, she does not miss. Definitely coming back.

Great view, great drinks, great service!! We visited on a Wednesday evening, just happened to walk in and we were not disappointed. Cute tiki vibe but not overdone. The rooftop has an amazing view of the city and it’s perfect for the summer evenings. Tom was our bartender and he makes amazing drinks definitely a new spot!

We pulled up here for the first time and were SO excited because of the view and the vibe. But there’s not many places in Charlotte when two drinks can cost two people $60 with tip. After my partner told me the price of the bill, I went to the reviews and saw many people complaining about this “service charge” and on the last page of the menu it states something along the lines of ‘during events or if a manager is working the bar, there’s a 20% service fee added to the bill.’ I don’t think I know anywhere where there’s a 20% service fee added to the bill, especially on top of $16+ cocktails. So we recieved an $8 fee or so fee added and then the tip amount is after the fee. I lived in Los Angeles for 8 years and haven’t seen anything like that. And my biggest issue with this is the fact that the place has maybe one of the best views in Charlotte — this place would be SO great if it wasn’t SO expensive. The place was empty (granted it wasn’t a Friday or Saturday night). So I think people go, think the drinks are good but not worth paying the price for them and the fee and then don’t come back. Their average lifetime value for customers could be so much higher. We were looking at maybe going there for a birthday hang with a group of people but aren’t comfortable asking out friends to pay $20 for a drink before tip so I imagine their losing a lot of business in similar situations to ours. It’s great for groups, it’s got great parking. It think it could be nearly full most evenings this summer if their practices changed and if they were busier that fee could maybe be lowered to a more reasonable 3-8% (like you commonly see at restaurants). It’s a bummer because it’s such a cool spot that clearly had a lot of hard work put into it and sits empty often (based on these reviews).
