The service was good, we were greeted by the hostess, sat down, and the waiter was spot on, knowledgeable about the menu and came exactly when needed.
The atmosphere ... It was just too damn noisy. The acoustics were horrible , it felt like sitting in a market where everbody is yelling all around you. We couldnt hold a conversation without yelling.
As for the food ... Meh... We expected more from this restaurant.
We ordered the grilled little gem with bouche cheese of an appetizer, it was fine.
The spare ribs were disappointing, the portion size was too small, 2 little fatty ribs. Tasty though.
The pork rib was better.
Finally , the deserts... Also very disappointing.
I didnt care for the raspberry pistachio pie, The pie crust tasted like oatmeal and it was covered with raspberry pistachio jam.
The Saint Honoré was just wrong. It was just 4 Profiteroles with whipped cream on the side. No puff pastry, no cream...
The cocktail and wine were nice though...
Overall though, we expected more...
There is a big fuss about the restaurants. The location is beautiful the service is good and also the food is OK - but not more than that. I expected more.
Absolutely awful and incredibly disappointing experience.
We came here to celebrate a birthday and spent around two hours at the restaurant — eating, drinking, talking and enjoying our evening. Then, without any warning whatsoever, we were suddenly asked to leave. Just like that. We hadn’t even had a chance to order the birthday dessert we were planning to have!
When you spend 700 shekels on dinner, you expect to be able to actually enjoy your evening. If the table was needed, the least they could have done was give us a 15–20 minute warning so we could finish our wine, order dessert and leave comfortably.
Instead, we were made to suddenly get up and leave. It was incredibly disrespectful, unprofessional and completely unnecessary.
They ruined our mood and ruined our birthday evening. For 700 shekels, I absolutely expect a much higher level of service and basic consideration for guests.
Absolutely disgraceful. Terrible experience. We will not be coming back.
We arrived as a couple on Sunday. The place was noisy and overly noisy and unpleasant, like a pub. The food was mediocre, the bread and desserts were particularly disappointing. The only thing that was good was the service. An unpleasant feeling of filth after a visit, mainly because of the atmosphere.
