Sounds like you want to leave an honest, balanced review. Here’s a polished version:
I recently dined at Edan Bistro in North Miami. The food was good overall, but I left feeling that something was missing. While the dishes were well-prepared, the meal didn’t feel particularly satisfying, and I was still hungry after dinner.
One challenge was the menu itself. I found it somewhat confusing to navigate, especially when it came to appetizers. A clearer selection or better guidance on how to build a complete meal would have improved the experience. The restaurant focuses on Basque-inspired cuisine and tasting-menu style dining, which may explain some of that structure.
The absolute highlight of the evening was the Basque cheesecake. It was easily one of the best I’ve ever had: incredibly creamy, rich without being overly sweet, and worth returning for on its own. The cheesecake is one of the restaurant’s signature items and is frequently praised by diners and reviewers.
Overall, a good experience with excellent dessert, but I think the menu could be more approachable and the portions or meal progression could leave guests feeling more satisfied. I’d consider coming back for the cheesecake alone
I recently had lunch at Edan Bistro and came away with mixed feelings.
Let me start by saying the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance is elegant, and the service was attentive and efficient throughout the meal.
I started with a cappuccino and the pan con tomate, both of which I really enjoyed. I did ask if they could make me a flat white, but there wasn’t any flexibility even though it’s not technically that far from a cappuccino. No big deal, I went with the cappuccino on the menu, and it was good.
I also ordered the mushroom croquettes, tuna tartare, tortilla, and Basque cheesecake.
The mushroom croquettes were delicious, with a rich, earthy mushroom flavor. Easily a 10/10. My only criticism is the price, I found six small croquettes a bit expensive.
The weakest dish for me was the tuna tartare. The foam didn’t work for my palate. It was too overpowering for something as delicate as tuna and ended up masking the fish instead of enhancing it.
The star of the meal was, without a doubt, the tortilla. Moist, generously sized, and simply delicious. It also offered an excellent value for the quality and portion.
The Basque cheesecake was incredibly creamy, which I loved. My only complaint was that it was a little too sweet for my taste. Had it been slightly less sweet, it would have been outstanding.
Overall, I’d definitely come back, have to repeat that tortilla. It was truly excellent.
Modern but warm. Sofisticated, but casual. A jewel in the middle of the North East Miami neighborhood.
The food is extraordinary. We had the mushroom croquettes with a mushroom reduction. They were crunching outside and soft inside. I ordered a delicious grill Branzino fish, with a delicate creamy sunchoke pure. My husband ordered the octopus with a root Celery sauce. Soft, savory and tasty.
For dessert we ordered the basque chesse cake. To die for! Creamy, delicate and not too sweet.
The ambiance is very likeable. The waitress are helpful. They don't rush you and are respectful of your space.
Price wise, they are in the Miami's range. For the quality of the food, I would say is reasonable. It doesn't bother you. We highly recommend this restaurant. It is worth it.
Nothing like having a place to eat near your own home. Where the food transports you to a different place, I actually felt as if I was eating in the streets of Spain. Each bite tasted, tells a story one unlike the other. All this couldn't have been complete the attention from Ena our waiter. Exemplary, outstanding. Friendly and caring. The attention to detail and whether we were satisfactory was met exceptionally. Thank you very much for this pleasant experience. I will be coming back for more very soon over and over and over.
Great food. Ordered 4 or 5 things off the menu and nothing disappointed. The cheesecake is a must to finish. If youre with at least 3 or 4 I would go ahead and get the ribeye otherwise it might be too much for 2. Enjoyed the wine as well
