This has got to be one of the nicest meals i have had in leeds for a while. We managed to get a table for 2 on an early Saturday evening. Staff were very pleasant and quick to point us to any specials on the menu. The cocktails were surprisingly good, better than some on Greek Street. For starter I had the Trout with fresh horseradish, wow amazing melted in my mouth such great flavours. My daughter had the beetroot terrene very nice too. For main i had the duck in plum sauce very tasty and duck could well. The dauphinoise potatoes were perfect lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. My daughter had the pork and she enjoyed that also. I saw a table next to us recieve 2 deserts and they looked good so I had to try it. What a good choice again not an easy desert to make but it was spot on and the homemade ice cream very nice. Pistachio souffle with a chocolate ice cream. Will definitely be visiting with the rest of the family, I should also say very well priced to and in a nice location. Inside you can here yourselves speak not load which is also nice when dining.
I have worked near by for over 3 years and keep looking and doing the old usual "I should really try that place one day". Well this bank holiday Sunday, I made the leap and it was so very worthwhile. I booked a table online to make sure we got a table, I'm not sure it was totally needed, but I can see it can get very busy!
The restaurant has a lovely outdoor seating area looking onto the river for when the weather is really nice, but inside is so nice. With the old mill roofing and just an authentic, warmth feeling, it was really nice to be in that atmosphere.
We were tended to and seating within seconds of arriving and left with just the right amount of time to pick drinks and the food we wanted.
The waiter was exceptionally attentive, really knew well when to approach or leave us be and it just really helped to enhance the evening for us.
We didn't have the Sunday roast, despite it being Sunday, but that looked incredible and is a very good reason to go back in the future. We had the courgette and garlic soup and the gravalax starters. Both came quickly and we're full of flavour and freshness. The soup was just so amazing!
For main course we had the leg of duck and the spring vegetable risotto. The risotto was so full of flavour and the duck.. we have never seen duck as soft and succulent as that. We added minted potatoes and fresh spring veg as side options and these were just the icing on the main course cake really! The minted potatoes especially, you must have these!
We were full, but the desert menu was too tempting, so enjoyed the rhubarb desert and the crème Brulé. As you would expect.. amazing food!
They had a great wine selection too which wasnt too pricey!
The whole place was spotlessly clean including the toilets, I know for some people they need to know this!
We genuinely couldnt have enjoyed it more. It was amazing, well done to the whole team that looked after us! We absolutely will be back, that Sunday roast is calling our names!

Very enjoyable evening meal. Firstly, very good drinks and food menu. The Mexican Mule and house red was delicious. Pea/fet croquettes, lamb rump and creme brulee we're a really good choice. Had some additions of escargot, cheese souffle and pistachio souffle which were all very delicious. Our server Barry was super informative of the menu suggestions and drinks pairings. The atmosphere was relaxed, loved the dim light industrial vibe. Would definitely visit again.

One of my favourite restaurants in Leeds, have been about 4/5 times (twice for a birthday) and every time it has been fantastic. The duck is excellent and the pistachio soufflé is delicious.
The atmosphere is always nice too. They also have a loyalty app which is great for getting freebies throughout the year!
I’d say the only very minor negative is that when it is very busy it can sometimes be difficult to catch the staff’s attention, but this is very minor.
Overall a fab restaurant for a lovely meal in Leeds!

Absolutely lovely experience. The food was beautifully presented and full of authentic flavour, especially the desserts. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. A charming spot for a relaxed evening with great French cuisine. Would happily return.
