It's really not a bad french cuisine and food was quite fresh, which is very important for me. Surprisingly, the waiter misinformed us that the oysters were from Paris. How is that possible? But just decided not to continue the topic. The atmosphere is a bit strange as there is no one around…
This place used to be one of our favourites restaurants in Haarlem, but sadly it seems that it has taken a downturn.
First of all, the place smells like sewage.
The onion soup used to be rich and delicious, but it is now a swampy mess with barely any onion, bread, or cheese.
The fries have changed. They are no longer thinly cut, and they were dry.
The portion sizes have shrunk too. A dish costing 26,50€ had barely four pieces of meat in it.
Despite our complaints, nothing came out of it. Not an apology or a discount.
Nicely designed & everything still looks brand new 👌🏻 we had the valentines special menu, and although the portion sizes could have been a bit more generous, the flavors were great! Our small dog was happy he was allowed in as well!
Friendly and attentive waitress, food was superb!
We started with some entrees which is almost filling like a brunch meal, by the time we finished the main courses we couldn’t order desserts anymore because we were so full. It’s a pity, but we would definitely come back once more heading straight for the main courses and desserts next time!
A wonderful place with delicious original French food. Highly recommend if you’re I. Haarlem and want to go eat quality food with great service this is a place to go to.
