Chicken Curry

Chicken curry is a dish that originated in South Asia, particularly India, and is also common in the cuisines of Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Great Britain, and South Africa. It fundamentally consists of chicken stewed in an onion- and tomato-based sauce. The dish is typically flavored with ingredients such as ginger, garlic, tomato puree, and chili peppers, along with a variety of spices like turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and cardamom. Some preparations may also include mango chutney or utilize pre-made curry powder, especially outside of South Asia.
